The demanding Gewürztraminer prefers warm, airy sites with deep, loamy soils. These conditions are found in the Brenntal vineyard in the north-west of the village of<br />Kurtatsch.<br /><br />The Gewürztraminer gets its multifaceted aromas from the red clay soils: lychee, roses, mango, caramelised orange peel and lavender. On the palate, the wine presents a<br />creamy texture and elegant acidity that balances the muscular body. The wine reaches its complexity after a longer ageing period in the cellar and in the bottle, which is<br />why the wine is only sold as a Riserva 2 years after the harvest. March and April were<br />unseasonably cold months and for this reason only at the end of April we did start to see<br />the beginnings of budding. The cooler temperature persisted into May and therefore<br />blooming officially started only the second half of June which is typically 2 weeks later<br />than usual. June and July were hotter and more humid than the average which caused big<br />challenges in the vineyards. Fortunately, at the end of summer we had exceptional weather<br />- dry and hot and also during the whole month of Seprember we had perfect conditions.<br />Harvest started 10 days later than usual on September 26th. Cool nights and hot days<br />continued and made for uniformed, healthy grapes with average alcohol levels and higher<br />than average acidic levels.<br />

Description: Intense straw yellow colour, fresh fine aroma reminiscent of yellow roses and nutmeg, some cloves and cinnamon, strong body, spicy, with lively acidity.<br />Ageing potential: 6-8 years.<br />Recommended food: As an aperitif, ideal companion to grilled fish, shellfish, Asian dishes and blue cheese.<br />Serving temperature: 10-12° C.<br />Grape variety: Gewürztraminer, trellis training with high plant density, approx. 5,500 vines/ha.<br />Sites: Selected sites at 450-550 m above sea level. Gravelly, sandy, partly loamy, medium-heavy soils with limestone deposits.<br />Vinification: Short cold maceration of the destemmed grapes, gentle pressing, fermentation at 18° C in stainless steel tanks. Subsequent ageing for 12 months on fine lees<br />and further bottle ageing for 6 months.<br />Analytical values:<br />Alcohol: 14,5% vol.<br />Total acidity: 5,1 g/l<br />Residual sugar: 5,7 g/l<br />

BERNARDI Cuvee white<br />Wine appellation: 'Bernardi' Chardonnay-Sauvignon Vineyard Dolomites 2022<br />Grape variety: Chardonnay and Sauvignon<br />Origin/situation: from the hills above Tramin at about 400 - 450 m above sea level<br />Producer: Tramin Winery<br />Wine street, 144<br />39040 Tramin(BZ) Italy<br />Harvest date: September<br />Vinification: Immediate pressing of the grapes, fermentation and ageing in stainless steel (70%) and in small oak barrels (30%).<br />Serving temperature: 10 - 12 degrees C.<br />This wine comes from the best hillside vineyards in the Tramin growing area.<br />The combination of the two grape varieties elicits a delicately fruity and at the same time floral note from the wine. The bouquet is reminiscent of<br />nettle, apples, green peppers and tropical fruits.<br />With a harmonious balance of acidity and minerality, notes of elderberry, banana and vanilla enrich the lively character of this wine.<br />Thanks to its excellent quality, this wine has been included in the Bernardi collection. This is a selection of choice grapes from optimal vineyards.<br />

<br />South Tyrol DOC<br />Pinot Blanc<br />Schulthauser<br /><br />Pinot Blanc has been cultivated in its second home, South Tyrol, since 1850 and has been one of the most important wines of our winery ever since. Schulthauser was first<br />bottled in 1982 and has since become one of South Tyrol's best-known Pinot Blancs. It is a harmonious, fresh wine with fruity notes that seduces the palate with its<br />creaminess and distinctive acidity.<br /><br />Eye: Straw yellow with green shimmer.<br />Nose: clear fruit nuances of apple, apricot and pear.<br />Palate: lively and balanced with a creamy fruitiness<br />Variety description: Pinot blanc<br />Growing region: Site: Vineyards in 'Schulthaus' above Schloss Moos in Eppan/Berg (540-620m)<br />Exposure: Southeast<br />Soils: Calcareous gravel soils with loam<br />Method of cultivation: Guyot and Pergel<br />Vine age: 10 to 40 years<br />Harvest: End of September, harvest and grape selection by hand.<br />Vinification: The majority (85%) is fermented in steel tanks, the rest in wooden barrels followed by biological acid reduction. In February, the two wines are blended.<br />Drinking temperature: 8-10°.<br />Storage/potential: 4 to 5 years<br />Recommended consumption: An exclusive aperitif and summer wine, but also a versatile food companion: it tastes good with seafood and fish, as well as with delicate<br />dishes of wild fowl. It is particularly recommended with South Tyrolean Schlutzkrapfen.<br />
