Südtirol Lagrein Riserva...

Lagrein is considered the oldest autochthonous grape variety of Alto Adige. FLUVIA, derived from the Latin word fluvius (river), reveals itself in the glass with an enticing richness of aromas of forest and elderberries, black cherries and a subtle hint of cocoa.

The restrained ageing in French barriques adds delicate toasted notes and further depth. On the palate, juicy fruit, vibrant freshness and velvety tannins come together in a harmonious whole. This grape variety, often described as rustic, presents itself here as surprisingly fine and well balanced. The spicy, fruit-driven finish is clear and light-footed, lingering long on the palate. An exceptionally elegant and harmonious Lagrein that immediately invites another sip.
Classification: South Tyrol DOC Cultivation area

'Gschleier' is certainly one of the most renowned wine-growing areas in South Tyrol. Pinot nero 2022 riserva...

Cultivation area

Years of testing by vinification of small quantities of wine have finally led us to the ideal site, the monopollage Ganger. It is located in Mazon, at an altitude of 360 to 380 metres above sea level, facing southwest, with a slope of 3-5%, and is characterised by a unique microclimate and deep clay and limestone soils. It is the place of origin of the Vigna Ganger Pinot Noir Riserva.
Vinification and ageing

The fully ripe grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September and delivered in small containers. The grapes - one fifth of which are vinified as whole clusters - are then gravity-fed into steel vats where fermentation takes place (25 days). After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is matured in barriques for 20 months. Finally, the wine is stored in the bottle for another 18 months.
Wine portrait

Intense ruby red with aromas of ripe fruit, sour cherries, wild berries, raspberries and a slight hint of marzipan.
