The bouquet is reminiscent of<br />nettle, apples, green peppers and tropical fruits.<br />With a harmonious balance of acidity and minerality, notes of elderberry, banana and vanilla enrich the lively character of this wine.<br />Thanks to its excellent quality, this wine has been included in the Bernardi collection. Schulthauser was first<br />bottled in 1982 and has since become one of South Tyrol's best-known Pinot Blancs. It is a harmonious, fresh wine with fruity notes that seduces the palate with its<br />creaminess and distinctive acidity.<br /><br />Eye: Straw yellow with green shimmer.<br />Nose: clear fruit nuances of apple, apricot and pear.<br />Palate: lively and balanced with a creamy fruitiness<br />Variety description: Pinot blanc<br />Growing region: Site: Vineyards in 'Schulthaus' above Schloss Moos in Eppan/Berg (540-620m)<br />Exposure: Southeast<br />Soils: Calcareous gravel soils with loam<br />Method of cultivation: Guyot and Pergel<br />Vine age: 10 to 40 years<br />Harvest: End of September, harvest and grape selection by hand.<br />Vinification: The majority (85%) is fermented in steel tanks, the rest in wooden barrels followed by biological acid reduction. For over 20 years, the Sauvignon Sanct Valentin has<br />found first-class conditions in the carefully selected individual vineyards at the foot of the Mendelstock to produce a great top wine with captivating fruit, excellent minerality<br />and persistence. Today, this noble drop is not only the pride of the house and the most important wine of the Sanct Valentin line, but also one of the most awarded white<br />wines in Italy.<br /><br />Grape variety: Sauvignon<br />Vine age: 10 to 33 years<br />Growing area: Site: best vineyards in St. Michael and 'Eppan Berg' (450-650m)<br />Exposure: south-east<br />Soils: Calcareous gravel soils<br />Method of cultivation: Guyot<br />Harvest: Early to mid-September; harvest and grape selection by hand.<br />Vinification: The majority (75%) is fermented in steel tanks, where the wine is aged on the fine lees until the end of April. The beguiling Gewürztraminer is one of the most exciting growths in the wine<br />world. Characteristic of Gewürztraminer Sanct Valentin is its intense and complex bouquet with aromas reminiscent of oriental spices, delicate rose scents and exotic fruits.<br />The Gewürztraminer was first vinified in 1986 as the top growth of the Sanct Valentin line. In the best individual vineyards of the municipality of Eppan, however, the grapes develop so excellently that they<br />produce a high-quality, powerful yet elegant top wine. Since 1986, the Chardonnay has been part of the Sanct Valentin line and is one of the most important wines of the<br />house. Excellent balance, well-integrated acidity and excellent storage potential.<br /><br />Grape variety: Chardonnay<br />Vine age: 10 to 32 years<br />Growing region:<br />Site: selection of the best single vineyard sites in the municipality of Eppan (450-550m).<br />Exposure: south-east, south-west<br />Soils: sandy calcareous gravel soils (or calcareous gravel soils)<br />Method of cultivation: Guyot<br />Harvest: Late September to early October, hand harvest and grape selection.<br />Vinification: Fermentation, malolactic fermentation and ageing on the lees in barrique tonneaux. Fortunately, at the end of summer we had exceptional weather<br />- dry and hot and also during the whole month of Seprember we had perfect conditions.<br />Harvest started 10 days later than usual on September 26th. Cool nights and hot days<br />continued and made for uniformed, healthy grapes with average alcohol levels and higher<br />than average acidic levels.<br />
