Chateau Croix Mouton 750ml...

2018 CHATEAU CROIX MOUTON 'BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR'
THE YEAR.
The M printed on the label of this fine-tasting and fleshy Bordeaux Supérieur wine marks the personality and particularities of each vintage and changes colour every year.
This cuvée from Château Croix Mouton, which dominates the Dordogne, is made exclusively from Merlot, the emblematic grape variety of the right bank of the Garonne,
and has a deep ruby red colour with beautiful shiny reflections. On the palate, small, acidic red fruits (mainly red plum, cherry) follow one another. On the palate it is full-
bodied and juicy, full of charming finesse. This wine is best appreciated when young, when its fruity bouquet shows all its vivacity.
THE CHÂTEAU CROIX MOUTON ESTATE
Château Croix Mouton is located in the town of Lugon on the right bank of the Bordeaux River and covers almost 70 hectares of vines. The planting density is about 3,600 to 6,000 vines per hectare.
The work in the vineyard is meticulous and includes tillage, grassing, thinning and some leaf thinning. After sorting at harvest, vinification takes place in concrete and
stainless steel tanks with openings and regular puncturing. Sylvaner Südt. DOC 750ml...

This grape variety most likely originates from Germany and was introduced to South Tyrol around 1900; today it is mainly cultivated in the Eisack Valley. The Sylvaner
grape feels particularly at home in the not too high, airy and warm slopes of the central Valle Isarco. The shallow, gravelly, weathered soils give the wine its incomparable
delicacy and elegance, which, although reminiscent of the wines of the same name on the other side of the Alps, unmistakably reflects the peculiarity of the Valle Isarco.

Grape variety: Sylvaner
Growing altitude: 520 - 850 m
Soil: mineral-rich, gravelly diorite and quartz phyllite weathered soils
Vinification: gentle processing and pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing on fine yeast in stainless steel tanks, no malolactic fermentation

Colour: light lemon yellow
Taste: dry, aromatic, pleasantly fresh with a balanced body
Aroma: delicate, typical of the variety, fruity, of peach, apple, apricot
