The Wine<br /><br />The name Cervaro comes from the noble family that owned Castello della Sala during the 14th century, Monaldeschi della Cervara. A blend of Chardonnay<br />grapes and a small quantity of Grechetto make a wine that can age over time and represent the elegance and complexity of this unique estate. Cervaro della<br />Sala is one of the first Italian white wines to have malolactic fermentation and aging take place in barriques. The first vintage of Cervaro to be produced was<br />the 1985 vintage.<br />

The deep, chalky alluvial soil and the heat-retaining<br />environment provide the red wine with what it needs for its intensive, unique characteristics. In addition, the field resembles an amphitheatre of nature, giving Huberfeld the<br />scenery it deserves!<br />WINE DESCRIPTION:Aromas of plum and blackcurrant, fine liquorice, slightly spicy. <br />TYPOLOGY: Port<br />PRODUCTION AREA: Douro<br />RAW MATERIAL: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Amarela, Sousão, Tinta Roriz and others.<br />VINIFICATION: The grapes used to produce the LBV Port come from the vineyards of Cima Corgo, an area located above the Corgo River in the Douro region. The<br />grapes are pressed in the traditional tanks called lagares, followed by maturation of the Port in large old oak vats in the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.<br />COLOUR: intense ruby<br />BOUQUET: Intense aroma of wild fruits, spices, notes of dark chocolate, with a slight floral profile, making it a refined and very expressive Port wine<br />PAIRINGS: perfect with desserts in which chocolate predominates, especially dark chocolate. TERRAZAS DE LOS ANDES<br />SELECTION MALBEC<br /><br />Consistent, direct and with good acidity.<br /><br />This Malbec, the emblem of Terrazas de los Andes, comes from over 100 plots in our 6 high-altitude Malbec vineyards. Its rarity lies in the unique combination of grapes<br />from the classic terroir of Las Compuertas, in Luján de Cuyo, with the more recently discovered terroirs in the Valle de Uco: Gualtallary, Los Chacayes, Paraje Altamira<br />and Eugenio Bustos, all between 1,070 and 1,200 metres above sea level. The vines are between 20 and 90 years old.<br /><br />TASTING NOTES<br />A complex and layered expression, revealing aromas of red and black fruits, subtle hints of violets and delicate toasted notes. VINEYARD<br />The vineyards are located on a southeast-facing slope 220 to 260 meters above sea level. The microclimate there is very warm. The soil is loamy with limestone gravel and<br />a layer of sand, which enables good heat storage capacity and drainage.<br /><br />VINIFICATION<br />The grapes undergo mash fermentation in a wooden fermentation barrel at 28 °C with a three-week maceration period. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in<br />barriques for twelve months before being lightly filtered and bottled.<br /><br />TASTING NOTES<br />- intense ruby red<br />- intense nose with cinnamon and undergrowth notes, fresh forest berries such as blackberry and blackcurrant;<br />- strong but fine-grained tannin; powerful with a lot of smoothness, fine tobacco and licorice notes on the finish, elegant finish;<br /><br />RECOMMENDATION<br />Goes well with a juicy beef tagliata with arugula and parmesan shavings, venison fillet with walnut crust and red cabbage, braised beef roulades with potato noodles and<br />flavorful cheese.<br />
