<br />La Dispensa di Amerigo Nocino is made from an infusion of unripe walnuts. Harvested at the end of June in the province of Modena and Bologna, it follows the teachings of<br />Pellegrino Grappi. A Modenese notary in the 1700s who was the first to draw up rules for the infusion of walnuts. Aged in wooden barrels, Nocino is only marketed after 3<br />years.<br />This traditional liqueur is ideal to drink at the end of a meal as a digestive. For those with a sweet tooth, take some traditional cream ice cream cups and pour a drizzle of<br />our Nocino liqueur over them. The Marasca liqueur of 'La Dispensa di Amerigo' is made from marasca cherries picked exclusively in our valleys. The fruit of the morello cherry, together with sour cherries<br />and black cherries, is part of the group of sour cherries. The infusion in alcohol of both the pulp and the stone gives a delicate bitter almond aftertaste. The result is a typical<br />drink of our area, with tones that are anything but sour.<br />The Marasca liqueur from 'La Dispensa di Amerigo' is a classic alcoholic drink to drink at the end of a meal as a digestive. Fernet is a liqueur that originated in Milan in the 18th and 19th centuries. It proved effective against a cholera epidemic. It has tonic and digestive functions. Its preparation is<br />based partly on infusions in water and alcohol of herbs such as rhubarb, aromatic calamus, liquorice root, gentian, cinchona, aloe and aniseed seeds. Hot decoctions of the<br />roots are then prepared without added sugar. It is usually used as a digestive aid, but it can be used in many other ways.<br />Our 'Fernet' liqueur falls into the category of bitters and is ideal to drink at the end of a meal as a digestive. It is also perfect as an after-dinner drink or as a conversation<br />drink. It is served cold at a temperature of around 10°, straight or with ice.<br /><br />It can also be used as a long drink by adding soda. Also used as a coffee corrector.
