Fernet is a liqueur that originated in Milan in the 18th and 19th centuries. It proved effective against a cholera epidemic. It has tonic and digestive functions. Its preparation is
based partly on infusions in water and alcohol of herbs such as rhubarb, aromatic calamus, liquorice root, gentian, cinchona, aloe and aniseed seeds. Hot decoctions of the
roots are then prepared without added sugar. It is usually used as a digestive aid, but it can be used in many other ways.
Our 'Fernet' liqueur falls into the category of bitters and is ideal to drink at the end of a meal as a digestive. It is also perfect as an after-dinner drink or as a conversation
drink. It is served cold at a temperature of around 10°, straight or with ice.

It can also be used as a long drink by adding soda. Also used as a coffee corrector. Try it in grenadine.
