VARIETY:<br />NEBBIOLO 100%<br />VINEYARDS:<br />Our Barolo is the result of a careful selection of Nebbiolo grapes from vineyards owned by our family, located in different positions within the Barolo area: in Serralunga<br />d'Alba (Cascina Ornato, La Serra and Briccolina), in Grinzane Cavour (Gustava and Garretti), in La Morra (Roncaglie), in Novello (Ravera) and, since the 2015 harvest, in<br />Monforte d'Alba (Mosconi).<br />VINIFICATION:<br />In steel. Maceration on the skins for about 30 days at fairly high temperatures.<br />AGING:<br />In French and Slavonian oak barrels for about 30 months and a small part in barriques.<br />NOTES:<br />A very classic style Barolo: elegance and finesse, ripe and spicy fruit, important but not overpowering tannins, good structure and concentration. Very long-lived. Ours is<br />not a basic Barolo, but has always been, and as tradition has it, the most faithful expression of the various great terroirs of the Barolo zone.<br />

Bright cherry red, fruity, delicately spicy, soft tannins, pleasant freshness, long finish.<br /><br />The Kalterersee BISCHOFSLEITEN is an ambassador for its terroir. Unmistakable Kalterer. Grown on old vines in a divine vineyard near Lake Kaltern, its own 'Vigna'. Its<br />terroir and traditional ageing in wooden barrels give rise to a multi-layered aroma of Amarena cherries, redcurrants and violets with a hint of almonds. The elegant body is<br />evident on the palate. The wine is refreshing and carries soft tannins. The finish is fruity and long.<br /><br />Hand-picked and selected grapes from the historic 'Bischofsleiten' vineyard. Destemming of the grapes and mash fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless<br />steel tanks.
