Maggiarino Nobile...

Maggiarino Nobile...

Maggiarino Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2015

Climate: the mild winter season, characterised by frequent rainfall, preceded a spring with above average temperatures, favouring an early bud break of about 10 days. The
summer, which tended to be hot and dry without any heat peaks, guaranteed the slow and regular growth of the vines and an optimal start to the ripening of the grapes. The
Sangiovese grapes for Maggiarino were harvested by hand around the middle of October.

Vinification: The best Sangiovese grapes, from a selection of vineyards on the Maggiarino estate, one of the most suitable areas for La Braccesca, underwent a vinification
process aimed at preserving the aromas and enhancing the structure. After about 20 days of maceration in stainless steel vats, the wine was transferred to tonneaux, where
malolactic fermentation took place and its ageing process began, lasting about 12 months. Following bottling in spring 2017, the wine rested in the bottle for about two years
before release.

Historical data: La Braccesca extends over 508 hectares where the ancient farm of the Bracci counts once stood, hence the name of the estate and its coat of arms: an arm
covered in armour holding a sword. The total surface area of the vineyards is 340 hectares divided into two parts: the first, 366 hectares of which 237 are planted with vines,
is located on the border between the municipalities of Montepulciano and Cortona. The other body, 142 hectares, 103 of which are planted to vines, extends as far as
Montepulciano between three of the most renowned areas for the production of great red wines: Cervognano, Santa Pia and Gracciano.
Maggiarino comes from the vineyards of the farm of the same name, one of the most vocated areas of La Braccesca. A well-balanced wine capable of exalting the fragrant
varietal character through the silky tannins typical of the Nobile di Montepulciano territory, a historic Tuscan denomination.

Tasting notes: Maggiarino has an intense ruby red colour. On the nose notes of violet, red fruit and vanilla compose a complex aromatic profile. On the palate it is soft,
balanced, silky and sustained by the excellent freshness typical of Sangiovese. Persistent and mineral on the finish.
Reserve della Contessa 2020...

Réserve della Contessa - the feminine wine.

Its secret is fineness and elegance, one almost wants to say noblesse. Bienenhof Eucalyptus Honey...

Bienenhof Eucalyptus Honey...

Amber-coloured honey, smells rather untypically of wet leaves, liquorice or dried mushrooms, tastes malty-spicy like caramel. Originates from eucalyptus trees, which are
very common in the Mediterranean region.

Plattner Bienenhof Eucalyptus Honey comes from the eucalyptus trees, which are very common in the Mediterranean region, and it tastes unusually spicy-malty like
caramel or cappuccino. On the nose, the honey is rather atypical with notes of dried mushrooms, wet leaves and liquorice. Eucalyptus honey crystallises quickly and then
changes colour to beige-grey. Like the essential oils of the plant, our Plattner Bienenhof eucalyptus honey is used to treat colds and respiratory infections. It is also exciting
to combine eucalyptus honey with ripened cheese: sheep's milk or Parmigiano, for example.

On average, honey contains about 17-19% water, about 70% simple sugars (carbohydrates in the form of glucose and fructose), about 2.5% sucrose, about 0.1% other
sugars and about 8% other substances. These naturally occurring components are: Acids, lactones, mineral salts, proteins, amino acids, vitamins, colloids and aromatic
substances.

Honey, with about 300 kilocalories per 100 grams, is an energy-rich natural product, quickly digestible and well and rapidly absorbed by the body.

Honey is a living food!

It is even said to have some interesting positive properties on the human body: sedative (calming), antiseptic (germicidal), antianemic (increases red blood cells), diuretic
(increases water excretion), and many more.

The freshly harvested honey is liquid, but can crystallise over time. This process is quite natural and the crystallised honey can be liquefied again in a warm water bath (up
to 40° C).

Honey is not suitable for children or babies under 12 months.

Country of origin: Italy
