VARIETY<br />100% Pinot Noir<br /><br />VINIFICATION<br />Traditional temperature controlled fermentation for about 10 days in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards, malolactic fermentation and maturation take place partially in large oak<br />barrels of 22hl and stainless steel tanks.<br /><br />TASTING NOTES<br />Our Pinot Nero Elena Walch shines in clear, fresh ruby red. A fruity play of aromas of red berries, cherries and raspberries as well as spicy notes with some white pepper<br />characterizes the bouquet. In the mouth, the wine convinces with juicy structure and inviting freshness, with soft, velvety tannins, discreet spices in the background and a<br />youthful, elegant finish.<br /><br />TERROIR<br />A deliberate combination of vineyards in warmer locations around the 400m blended with material from altitudes of up to 600m. Limestone and porphyry soils in south-<br />eastern and south-western orientation. Severe selection employed.<br /><br />VINTAGE 2023<br />We are delighted with an interesting 2023 vintage! Even though we have experienced a challenging growing season with alternating warm and cool periods with some rain,<br />we have had a fantastic harvest season with the best possible weather conditions for ripening. After a midsummery June and July, followed by high rainfall at the beginning of<br />August, the grapes were able to benefit and ripen for a long time from the optimal conditions with plenty of sunshine. Harvest began late in early September with ideal<br />weather conditions<br />which were only replaced by more unstable weather towards the end. Warm daytime temperatures and cool nights allowed the grapes to reach optimum ripeness with<br />balanced acidity levels and clear fruit, and good<br />structure.<br /><br />FOOD PAIRING<br />The ideal companion to hearty starters, dishes based on beef or vanison and spicy cheeses.<br /><br />Appellation: Alto Adige DOC<br />Alcohol: 13,00 % Vol.<br />

Rosso Toscana (Lupicaia)<br />Producer: Gian Annibale Rossi di Medelana,Vittorio Piozzo di<br />Rosignano Rossi di Medelana<br />First vintage: 1993<br />Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot<br />Analytical data: Alcohol degree: 14.50%.<br />Soil type: The soils are rich in iron minerals with the presence of stones and fossils. Facing the Mediterranean Sea, they benefit from a unique reflection of the sun, a<br />moderate breeze from the coast and the abundance of sunlight promotes unique ripening.<br /><br />Training system: Spurred Cordon<br />Planting density: 3,600 vines/Ha for old vineyards; 5,600 vines/Ha for new vineyards<br /><br />Climatic trend: 2016 was certainly one of the most regular vintages of the last decade. Rainfall met the vines' needs punctually: abundant in March, regular in May and June,<br />important at the end of July and, finally, a warm and sunny August and mid-September. Temperatures were optimal: a mild end to the winter that had caused concern was<br />then regularised by a tenably cool spring that slowed down the development of the bunches, which then benefited from the hot but not torrid summer, with significant<br />temperature swings. Cluster growth was regular and optimal, production was good and ripening was perfect.<br /><br />Harvest period: Harvesting was strictly by hand and took place for the Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from mid-September. After an initial selection in the<br />vineyard at the time of manual harvesting, the Lupicaia grapes are carefully selected a second time on arrival at the winery on the sorting table.<br /><br />Winemaking notes: After manual selection on the sorting table, the grapes are gently destemmed and pressed, taking care not to break the skin of the berries. Meticulous<br />alcoholic fermentation takes place in our stainless steel open-cap fermenters at a controlled temperature with maceration of the grapes for about 20 days. Daily dèlestages<br />allowed the perfect extraction of the bouquet<br />aromas and the right tannic balance, with an important structure that will allow for long ageing.<br /><br />Ageing: Ageing takes place in new French oak tonneaux for a period of about 22 months followed by further ageing in bottles before release.<br />

Grown on old vines in a divine vineyard near Lake Kaltern, its own 'Vigna'. Its<br />terroir and traditional ageing in wooden barrels give rise to a multi-layered aroma of Amarena cherries, redcurrants and violets with a hint of almonds. The elegant body is<br />evident on the palate. The wine is refreshing and carries soft tannins. The finish is fruity and long.<br /><br />Hand-picked and selected grapes from the historic 'Bischofsleiten' vineyard. Destemming of the grapes and mash fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel<br />tanks. Pinot Noir - South Tyrolean Pinot Noir, DOC<br /><br />Bright ruby red, fruity, fine berry aromas, subtle spiciness, silky tannins, elegant fullness.<br /><br />The Pinot Noir has a ruby red colour, a sparkle given to it by the optimal hours of sunshine. It grows on the historic Preyhof on deep soil and enjoys a comparatively cool<br />microclimate in this best Pinot Noir location in Kaltern. The typical fruity flavours of cherry, redcurrant and blueberry are concentrated. Finely spiced flavours frame the<br />bouquet. On the palate, the wine is round and juicy, with elegant, fine-grained tannins. The finish is lingering.<br /><br />Harvest and grape selection by hand. Cold maceration (5 days) followed by fermentation and gentle pressing. Fermentation and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel<br />tanks. Subsequent ageing for 12 months in barrique and tonneau. Campaner Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva DOC 2021<br /><br />Broad as a horizon. Colourful as a winter sunset. And the colour is joy.<br /><br /><br /><br />Vintage: in many respects 2021 was a demanding and challenging wine growing year. The winter months were mainly sunny but very cold. In spring the temperature was<br />slow to rise, and that delayed the vegetative development of the vines. This was only partly compensated by the warm and sunny start to the summer, while the weather in<br />July and August was very varied. The grape harvest accordingly began relatively late, on September 9. The wet September was an organizational problem for our wine<br />growers, but ultimately a very good harvest was completed on October 26.<br /><br />Tasting notes<br /><br />- dark, ruby red<br />- ripe blackberries, wild cherries and chocolate on the nose<br />- a powerful beginning on the palate, with increasing tannins, prominent fruit and a long, lingering finish<br /><br />Recommendation: this wine pairs perfectly with red meats, game and piquant cheeses.<br /><br />Vinification: fermentation on the skins at 28 °C, two week extended maceration, malolactic and 16 month aging in barrique (1/4 new oak), a light filtration before bottling.<br /><br />Vineyard: steep, southerly exposed slopes at 250 - 350 meters above sea level. St. Daniel<br />Pinot Noir Riserva<br /><br />Description: medium deep, garnet red colour, distinct, varietal aroma of cherries, red berries and spices, soft balanced medium body with fine finish.<br />Ageing potential: 6 - 8 years.<br />Recommended food: light hors d'oeuvres, veal or poultry<br />as well as strong fish dishes.<br />Serving temperature: 16° C.<br />Grape variety: Pinot noir. 15-20 year old trellis plant.<br />Sites: Vineyards in Girlan, Eppan and Montan (approx. 350 m above sea level) Soils of volcanic origin with moraine overlay. Cool microclimate with large temperature<br />differences between day and night.<br />Vinification: short cold maceration of the must. Then fermentation at about 25° C for 14 days. Biological acidification and ageing of the wine in large wooden barrels (35 hl)<br />for 2/3 and in barriques for 1/3, each for 12 months.
