<br />Talò Malvasia Nera Salento I.G.P.<br />750 ml<br /><br />In San Marzano, the vine-growers take care of their small vineyard as one would a garden.<br />Their stories are many, as are the names of their families.<br />We have chosen one, Talò, to thank them ideally: family for family, story for story.<br /><br />Grape variety: Malvasia Nera di Brindisi.<br />Area: San Marzano, Salento, Puglia. About 100 metres above sea level.<br />Soil: Medium-textured, clayey, shallow and with a good presence of skeleton.<br />Cultivation: Espallier (4,500 vines per hectare).<br />Harvest: Second half of September.<br />Vinification: Thermo-controlled maceration for about 10 days followed by alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts.<br />Ageing: In French oak barriques for 6 months.<br />Organoleptic characteristics: Intense ruby red colour; complex bouquet reminiscent of ripe red fruits and spices; very full-bodied wine, pleasantly soft and long lasting.<br />Food pairing: Red meats, roasts with elaborate sauces and moderately mature cheeses.<br />Serve at: 16-18 °C.<br />

The Wine<br /><br />For over five years, Cabreo has expressed the perfect harmony between tradition, innovation and suitability for the territory in which it is born: Greve in Chianti. This wine<br />is the result of a careful blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, which respectively give softness, strength and elegance, and of a long aging in small French<br />oak barrels.<br />Vintage: The 2020 vintage is purple red, crystalline and bright, on the nose it presents a synergistic sensorial profile between the descriptors of wood and those of<br />cabernet. Partially tamed by the softness of the merlot. In the mouth it expresses the young maturity of a great red, alternating pleasant tannic sensations with sweet vinous<br />sensations. Nose and mouth constantly evolving in the glass. The very old vines produce a wine of above-average quality, with concentrated but velvety tannins, juicy fruit and a robust body.<br />Grape varieties: Lagrein<br />Growing area/climate: vines more than 80 years old on warm, sandy alluvial soils in Gries near Bolzano, 250 metres above sea level.<br />Harvest: end of September to mid-October<br />Vinification: After traditional red wine fermentation in wooden barrels, the young wine matures for about one year in French barriques.<br />Characteristics: Colour: impenetrable garnet red.<br />Aroma: fruity of ripe cherries, floral of roses and violets, reminiscent of humus, beautiful chocolate tones<br />Flavour: powerful and harmonious with a velvety fullness, long-lasting and elegant<br />Goes well with: grilled or cooked dark meat, game dishes and ripe cheese<br />Alcohol: 14 % vol*<br />Residual sugar : 4,0 g/l*<br />* Depending on the vintage, the analytical values may vary slightly.<br />

It took 35 notarial acts and 7 years to bring together the many plots of land in Montebruna, a property of great oenological value. When we succeeded, for joy we gave it<br />voices and verses, involving artists, poets and musicians who sang about this Barbera and its land, 'a land that speaks'.<br /><br />Denomination: Barbera d'Asti DOCG.<br />Grape and Vineyard: Montebruna is a Barbera d'Asti DOCG made from 100% Barbera grapes grown in our own vineyard in Rocchetta Tanaro.<br />Winery: The fermentation takes place for a fortnight in steel tanks at controlled temperature; then for one year the wine matures in large oak barrels.<br />Tasting: Ruby red violet colour. It impresses with very clear scents of ripe cherries and small red fruits. The taste in the mouth is deep, full, harmonious, with a long finish<br />that maintains the persistence of the flavour and finishes with almonds. Excellent, well-balanced, fragrant and very drinkable. It accompanies pasta-based first courses, main<br />courses of white or red meat, cheeses and sausages.<br />Serving temperature: Serve at 15-17°.<br />
