<br />Vorberg Riserva<br /><br />'On the southern slopes of the Tschöggelberg there are very sunny and steep vineyards in the Terlan DOC area, where a very exciting Pinot Blanc thrives at an altitude of<br />between 450 and 650 metres above sea level. This full-bodied and extremely complex wine impresses in particular with its minerality as well as its considerable capacity for<br />development, thereby underlining the full potential of this variety.'<br />Rudi Kofler<br /><br />Wine:<br />Region of Origin: South Tyrol - Italy<br />DOC area: South Tyrol Terlaner<br />Variety: 100% Pinot Blanc<br />Vintage: 2021<br />Yield: 52 hl/ha<br />Orientation: South - Southwest<br />Slope: 5 - 70<br />Altitude: 450 - 650 m<br /><br />Vinification: hand harvest and grape selection; soft whole cluster pressing and clarification of the must by natural sedimentation from the lees; slow fermentation at<br />controlled temperature in large oak barrels (70 & 30 hl); partial malolactic fermentation and ageing for 12 months on the fine lees in traditional wooden barrels.<br /><br />Technical data:<br />Alcohol content: 14,0 % vol.<br />Residual sugar: 0,9 g/l<br />Total acidity: 6,2 g/l<br />Serving temperature: 12 - 14 °C<br /><br />Food pairing:<br />Ideal in combination with a spicy fish soup but also peppered mussels as well as spaghetti allo scoglio; at the same time interesting with gratinated mussels, grilled<br />octopus or braised char; also goes well with the difficult to combine artichokes alla romana; with an aged pecorino, an aged parmesan with mostarda.<br /><br /><br />Character:<br />Colour: brilliant straw yellow with green nuances<br />Nose: A multi-faceted bouquet characterised by ripe fruit notes such as honeydew melon, white peach, pears and golden delicious apples, as well as aromas of quince jelly,<br />camomile and pineapple, and a delicate mineral note of flint.<br />Taste: The interplay of fruity-aromatic and salty taste components is also repeated on the palate. The compact structure with elegant melting makes for a spicy, long-<br />lasting, punchy mineral finish.<br />
