Pomino Benefizio Riserva...

Pomino Benefizio Riserva...

Pomino Bianco Riserva DOC

'On the road to Pomino I am thrilled every time I discover this unique corner of Tuscany: hills and cypresses suddenly give way to steep slopes, cooler temperatures in
summer and snow in winter, magnificent forests of firs and centuries-old sequoias surrounding the vineyards of Chardonnay, planted here since 1855. At an altitude of 700
metres, the Cru Benefizio, the first white wine in Italy fermented and aged in barriques, was born in 1973.'

Climatic trend
The 2021 season will be remembered as a dynamic vintage. After a rainy and mild winter, which had led to a slight advance in budding, temperatures dropped sharply at the
beginning of April, slightly slowing the growth of the buds. From May onwards, temperatures began to rise again, leading to a summer that will be remembered for both the
beautiful day-night temperature range and the long period of intense heat. The grapes presented themselves at harvest in a perfect state of health, thanks to the mild
temperatures and low humidity.

Vinification and ripening
The Benefizio vineyard is located at an altitude of 700 m above sea level, with a southern exposure and predominantly sandy soil. The Chardonnay grapes were harvested in
boxes by hand with extreme care and attention. Once they arrived in the cellar, the pressing they underwent was extremely soft and gentle, allowing a good extraction of
clear must, which was further clarified after cold decantation. The musts thus obtained were placed in barriques, 50% new and 50% first-passage, where they underwent
alcoholic fermentation and only partially malolactic fermentation. Subsequently, the wine matured in wood, on the lees, with bâtonnage carried out as required. After further
bottle ageing, Benefizio Riserva reached its maximum taste-olfactory expression in terms of elegance and harmony.

Tasting notes
Elegance, expressiveness and body. Benefizio 2021 presents a wonderful straw yellow colour with golden highlights. The bouquet is varied, presenting hints of white fruit
such as pear, exotic fruit notes such as mango, banana and pineapple and more citrus notes of candied citron. The citrus sensation is also picked up by hints of orange
blossom. On the palate it is savoury and mineral, with an elegant and harmonious finish; the aromatic intensity perceived on the palate is amplified by the alcohol content
and the aftertaste of dried fruit. Persistent and long finish.
Alie rosè Ammiraglia 2022...

Alie rosè Ammiraglia 2022...

Alìe, a figure from Greek mythology, one of the sea nymphs, symbol of sensuality and beauty. Alìe, an elegant Rosé with a clear, pure colour and soft ruby reflections. A
refined balance between Syrah and Vermentino, which find their maximum expression in their proximity to the sea. Aromas of white flowers, wild strawberries and citrus peel
blend in a delicate structure with hints of minerality typical of the terroir, giving a long, rich finish. Enchanting from aperitifs to meals and in good company.

Climatic trend
Winter 2021/2022 was characterised by good rainfall, as was spring 2022. This situation resulted in a proper water supply of the subsoil. Sprouting took place a few days
later than normal, but rising temperatures led to regular vegetative development. Summer days with above-average temperatures led to splendid ripening of the Syrah and
Vermentino grapes. As a result, the aromatic development was magnificent. The sun and the refreshing sea breezes were the perfect companions during the harvest period;
both allowed the vines to achieve a compositional balance that is an expression of this microclimate. The most genuinely Mediterranean expression of Tuscany.

Technical notes
Varieties: Syrah, Vermentino
Alcoholic degree: 12%.
Maturation: 3 months in steel tanks

Vinification and maturation
The secret of Alìe lies in the combination of territorial characteristics, vineyard management and, of course, the human factor. The grapes, once harvested, were transported
to the cellar in a short time in order not to spoil or damage the bunches. One of the highlights of the Alìe production was the pressing phase. The bunches, whole and in the
absence of oxygen, were loaded into the press. The pressures applied during this phase were extremely soft and gentle; this process, together with the careful selection of
the musts and their subsequent decanting for no less than 12 hours, allowed the distinctive characteristics of this seductive rosé to be enhanced. Fermentation took place in
stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of less than 19° C. After maturing for a few months on fine lees, subsequently including a period of bottle ageing, Alìe 2022
was as persuasive and fascinating as its custom.

Tasting notes
Alìe 2022 has a splendid soft pink colour. On the nose, its fruitiness is particularly varied: citrus notes of cedar and bergamot, ripe peach and white fruits. This is followed by
the floral soul of Alìe dominated by iris, orange blossom and peony. The long bouquet continues with clear hints of iodine and aromatic herbs such as thyme, rosemary and
sage. The taste-olfactory response is remarkable and precise, characterised by freshness and savouriness. Alìe is a rich, silky, smooth and satisfying wine.
Chianti Riserva NIPOZZANO...

Chianti Riserva NIPOZZANO...

Nipozzano Riserva 2019
Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG

An emblematic wine from Castello Nipozzano, a historic Frescobaldi estate a few kilometres north-east of Florence, Nipozzano Riserva is the symbol of the Tuscan
winemaking tradition and the indissoluble bond with the terroir.

Climatic trends
At Castello Nipozzano, winter 2019 was characterised by long periods of sunshine with low temperatures. Spring, on the other hand, was cool, and the rains that fell
ensured good water reserves to face the hot summer days. The summer period was characterised by temperature fluctuations that helped to provide coolness during the
night, with the usual breezes from the slopes of the Apennines contributing in particular. The grapes were therefore accompanied to ripening by a combination of the warmth
of the sun and refreshing breezes; the bunches arrived at the harvest in perfect condition and the production expressed itself in wines typical of the area, marked by a good
acidic vein and silky tannins.

Technical notes
Variety: Sangiovese and complementary varieties
Alcoholic grade: 13.5%.

Vinification and maturation
The grapes, as soon as they were harvested, were immediately delivered to the cellar. Here, once destemmed, the spontaneous fermentation process took place in
thermoregulated stainless steel tanks. At the end of this, the wine remained in the vats to complete maceration. Following racking, malolactic fermentation took place, also
conducted in stainless steel. At the end of the year, the wine was racked into barriques, where it matured for the following months. The further period in bottle allowed
Nipozzano 2019 to express itself to the full, making it a wine of exceptional expressive balance.

Tasting notes
Nipozzano 2019 presents a lively ruby red colour. The nose is characterised by fruity scents such as wild berries, black cherry and elegant floral notes; wonderful freshness
expressed through balsamic hints. This is followed by roasted and spicy notes of pepper, nutmeg and coffee. The palate is rich, characterised by the elegant density of the
fruit and the final mineral freshness that make it balanced and persistent. The tannic texture is dense but not scratchy. The taste-olfactory correspondence is splendid.
Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG...

Giacomo loved elastic ball, a Piedmontese game played in the Acquese hills, an area with a vocation for the production of Brachetto.
