CLOUDY BAY<br />SAUVIGNON<br />Pure, fresh and vibrant<br /><br />With its extraordinary aromas, Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc was an instant success when it appeared on the market in 1985. This wine put New Zealand on the global wine map and made Sauvignon Blanc famous as a single varietal wine. More than 80 expressions of 98 parcels are used in its creation, with yields kept low to produce a wine with a concentrated aroma. The winemaking process aims to preserve and enhance the fresh, fruity notes, using selected yeasts and stainless steel vats, along with a small percentage of barrel fermentation to give structure but without hinting of oak.<br />TASTING NOTES<br />Intense and vibrant, with aromas of ripe passion fruit, white peach and a hint of lime. The palate is deliciously concentrated and tropical, with saline notes providing structure, while the passion fruit and vibrant citrus acidity bring balance.<br /><br />

Originality and near-natural cultivation are the guidelines in the vineyard.<br /><br />The Chardonnay is characterised by stylish opulence, with lots of exotic fruit and delicate, highly refined toasty aromas. The complex bouquet is reminiscent of ripe citrus fruits, coconuts and a hint of vanilla. Extract and acidity form a delightful balance. The taste is round, with velvety fruit and pleasantly integrated tannin. A complex, elegant Chardonnay with great ageing potential.<br />Chardonnay FREIENFELD: the charming one.<br /><br />Grape variety: Chardonnay<br />Vinification: Fermentation in blond &amp; medium toasted french barriques. Barriques followed by ageing (incl. bâtonnage) for 12 months without biology. Acid reduction. The 2014 vintage was the first 600 wines to be produced. The hand-picked Chardonnay grapes come exclusively from old vines. After fermentation in the bottle, the sparkling wine matures on the yeast for 55 months. In the glass: stable and fine perlage. Fruity nuances of white peach and yellow tropical fruit, some quince, spiced bread and brioche. Creamy yet firm texture, mineral and salty finish.600 BLANC DE BLANCS: The uncompromising one.<br /><br />'When we start a sparkling wine project, we only do so with the aim of being among the absolute top,' says President Andreas Kofler. The goal was achieved, and the first 600 was pressed in 2014.<br /><br />
