Tasting notes
- dark, ruby red - ripe blackberries, wild cherries and chocolate on the nose - a powerful beginning on the palate, with increasing tannins, prominent fruit and a long, lingering finish
Recommendation: this wine pairs perfectly with red meats, game and piquant cheeses.
Vinification: fermentation on the skins at 28 °C, two week extended maceration, malolactic and 16 month aging in barrique (1/4 new oak), a light filtration before bottling.
Vineyard: steep, southerly exposed slopes at 250 - 350 meters above sea level. Loamy, chalky, stoney gravel, heat-retaining and well-drained
