Once<br />perfectly ripe, the canes are cut by hand with traditional 'coutelas' and transported to the distillery on 'cabrouets' pulled by bulls. The freshly pressed juice is not diluted, as<br />is usual in the production of rhum agricoles; fermentation takes place in open vats at a controlled temperature and lasts up to 5/6 days. After distillation there is a long<br />period of rest in steel vats, lasting up to a year, during which the alcohol content is slowly lowered. Rhum Rhum Blanc is bottled at 41°.<br /><br />How I drink it:<br />Rhum Rhum Blanc 41° is very pleasant in the classic Ti' Punch with a very small addition of sugar. Excellent for classic cocktails such as the Mary Pickford.<br /><br />Focus:<br />In the mid-2000s, Luca Gargano realised a dream he had nurtured for years, that of producing the best rum in the world. To do so, he enlisted the help of maestro Gianni<br />Vittorio Capovilla and together they chose the enchanting island of Marie Galante, where at the time the best possible terroir could be found in the Caribbean. A first still was<br />installed at the Bielle distillery in 2005 and the second in 2007: two Müller bain-marie stills with a capacity of 300 and 1200 litres. The fresh, undiluted cane juice ferments<br />slowly in stainless steel cuves.<br />

ABV 50%<br />RON MILLONARIO 10 ANIVERSARIO CINCUENTA<br />CINCUENTA SHADES OF STRENGTH<br /><br />Ron Millonario 10 Aniversario Cincuenta is based upon the same recipe, maturation and blend of the 10 Aniversario Reserva, but it's bottled at higher strength to satisfy the<br />high demand from barmen all over the world for an easy and sweet rum that at the same time off ers a higher intensity of fl avour. An important ingredient to create cocktails<br />with character and boldness, but also more suited for sipping on the rocks without the ice diluting the strength and heat of the rum too much.The design of the bottle and<br />packaging is modern and elegant, with the same graphical style of Ron Millonario 10 Aniversario Reserva and the same innovative transparent glass cap to retain the family<br />feeling, but in gold rather than in black.<br /><br />TASTING NOTES: it echoes the sweet fruits, vanilla and chocolate of the standard 10 Aniversario Reserva, but much more intense and concentrated. It has a richer<br />mouthfeel, almost tactile, and a more robust caress on the tongue and palate. The higher strength accentuates the drier and winey fl avours from the sherry casks too. Th e<br />result is something in-between the easy freshness of the 10 Aniversario Reserva and the sweeter and darker complexity of the Solera 15.<br />

HISTORY: In 2015, The Other Guys decided to change its name to 3 Badges after moving its administrative offices to the old fire station in Sonoma, California. August<br />Sebastiani, a Tuscan-born winemaker and owner of the company, discovered numerous documents that testified to his family's involvement in the building's construction. His<br />grandfather had worked as a volunteer and received 3 badges for his career. 3 badges has thus become a symbol of returning to the roots, celebrating the passion for<br />commitment and craftsmanship as the cardinal points of the company.<br /><br />PRODUCT: Kirk and Sweeney was a wooden schooner known for smuggling rum from the Caribbean to the North East during the early years of Prohibition. It is a molasses<br />rum of Dominican origin aged for 18 years.<br /><br />PROFILE: Complex and intriguing, it touches on a wide range of aromas, from the intensity of vanilla to notes of sherry and grapes, underpinned by the fragrance of roasted<br />sugar cane. <br /><br />Jamaica 'I Pappagalli' 2008 - 45°.<br /><br />Bright golden yellow. Impact of strong spice (ginger, saffron), enlarged by hints of hydrocarbon, enamel, dark tobacco and seasoned wood. Complex, structured and<br />alcoholic taste. Slow and very long release of direct olfactory sensations, on which a sumptuous tobacco closure stands out.<br />

<br /><br />Jamaica - 45°<br /><br />Nose of zabaglione, almond, officinal herbs, chocolate 75% cocoa, citrus fruits. On the palate white pepper, vanilla, fresh walnut, Brenta tobacco.<br />

Guyana - 45°<br /><br />Nose: mimosa, toffee and roasted chestnut. Mouth: liquorice root, carob, salty marine with a mouth-drying finish<br />
