Gin "Dol" PLUNHOF 500ml

Gin "Dol" PLUNHOF 500ml
DOL GIN

With the first gin distilled in the Dolomites, the master distiller of Zu Plun is following in the footsteps of the countless witchcraft legends that have grown up around the
Schlern region. A lot of ancient herbal knowledge goes into this distillate, whose ingredients and herbs grow in the Dolomites and on the Alpe di Siusi, with one exception -
the lemon peel from Lake Garda. In addition to juniper and 24 mountain herbs, the fruit stalks, blossoms and roots of the mystical elder bush are also processed. The
outstanding quality of the result has long since ceased to be an insider tip and, in addition to many international awards, was named the best gin in Italy by Gambero
Rosso. The Dolomiten Gin already intoxicates on the nose with a full bouquet of fresh juniper, mountain herbs and freshly ground pepper. On the palate, it develops fruity
spiciness with subtle bitter notes from the gentian root. Harsh, rough, wild and highly delicate - because master distiller Rabanser is convinced that a dolomite gin should
not taste of vanilla and tropical fruits.

Raw material: 24 dolomite herbs, lemons from Lake Garda + elderberry
Distilling method: discontinuous, double distilled, copper still heated in a water bath
Storage/ageing: -
Alcohol strength: 45 Vol%
Volume: 0,5
Colour clarity: crystal clear and colourless
Nose: Full bouquet of fresh juniper, mountain herbs and freshly ground pepper.
Palate: Fruity spiciness with the subtle bitter notes of gentian root.
Finish: Aromatic, full-bodied, strong and persistent.

Tip: The master distiller from Plunhof recommends this gin as the basis for a classic gin and tonic. Less recommendable, however, are the current fashionable ingredients
such as pepper and cucumber.
