I Frati<br />Lugana Doc<br /><br />The wine that has made the company's image known and continues to do so. It has a direct link with its variety, Turbiana, our indigenous vine. Conceived to be consumed during the year, it expresses its best side many years after bottling. In its youth it is fresh, linear and endowed with great finesse and elegance with delicate notes of white flowers and balsamic, hints of apricot and almond. Time allows it to evolve, expressing its mineral notes with greater determination. The wine acquires its own complexity with hints of iodine, spices and candied fruit. In the mouth it is capable of enveloping the whole palate thanks to an important savoury essence accompanied by lively and exuberant acidity. Exilissi Sell 2007<br /><br />Vintage: After an exceptionally mild winter, the vines sprouted earlier than ever before. April and May were also warmer than average, so that by mid-May the flowering was<br />already over in all locations. This 3-week advance in vegetation lasted until harvest. The cool August and a golden September proved it once again: The last weeks before<br />the harvest are decisive for the quality.<br />Whites and reds were able to ripen perfectly and were harvested at the optimal time. That is why the harvest took longer than ever before. The first grapes entered the<br />cellar on 21 August, the last on 24 October. All in all, it should be a very good vintage. The red wines promise to be the best of the last ten years.<br /><br />Vinification: gentle pressing of the delicate grapes. Fermentation of the unclarified must in 500 l tonnequx, further 15 months of maturation in the same barrel. Bottled in<br />March 2009<br /><br />Harvest conditions: a sunny and warm late autumn allowed the grapes to hang until mid-November, thus enabling the harvest of a very ripe grape.<br /><br />Site/soil: Höfl unterm Stein in Söll near Tramin, situated on a south-eastern slope at 480 to 550 metres above sea level. On gravelly, loamy calcareous gravel soil, there are<br />both 30-year-old pergola plants and wire frames that are over 10 years old, which produce something unique with an extremely low yield of 25hl/ha.<br /><br />Oenologist's notes: an enormously concentrated late harvest with intense aromas of sultanas, apricots and spices. Very smooth and long on the palate. TYPE: AOC Sauternes Premier Cru<br />PRODUCTION AREA: The vineyards of the Sauternes appellation are located on the left bank of the Garonne, about 50 km south of Bordeaux.<br />GRAPE VARIETIES: 83% Sémillon, 17% Sauvignon<br />SOIL TYPE: Clay-sandy soil.<br />VINIFICATION: All batches are pressed individually using a low-capacity pneumatic press. After several hours of cold settling, the must is fermented in new oak barrels<br />produced by Tonnellerie des Domaines in Pauillac. Alcoholic fermentation is interrupted as soon as the desired balance between alcohol and sugar is achieved. After<br />fermentation, the wine is aged in barrels for 24 months.<br />COLOUR: Delicately golden with green highlights.<br />NOSE: The nose is intense and richly aromatic. Initial notes of citrus zest are followed by hints of lemon cake, then toasted notes reminiscent of freshly baked brioche.<br />FLAVOUR: On the palate, there are aromas of mandarin peel and candied orange, enriched by a touch of star anise that emphasises the aromatic freshness of this wine.<br />The rich and dense mouthfeel has good length with a nice bitter finish.<br />

During<br />this period the Vin Santo acquires naturally its alcohol<br />content while maintaining a certain sugar level which helps<br />the development of the details organoleptic characteristics.<br />Organoleptic characteristics<br />Color: intense golden yellow.<br />Bouquet: intense with hints of honey and dried fruit.<br />Taste: full, soft, sweet and with good structure.<br />Winemaker's recommendations<br />Excellent dessert wine, indicated alone or in accompaniment<br />to dry desserts or blue cheeses.<br />Serve at a temperature of 10/12 °C<br />Alcohol content: 15% vol.<br />
