VEUVE CLICQUOT VINTAGE 2012...
Vintage Brut 2012
The Vintage 2012 is the expression of a prodigious harvest, despite extremely adverse weather conditions.
Label Veuve Clicquot Champagne Vintage Brut 2012

Despite the damage that led to a fairly modest harvest, the quality is optimal, with great ageing potential for the wines. Naturally, the 2012 vintage has been declared a
Veuve Clicquot Vintage, becoming the House's 66th since its first vintage in 1810. The uniqueness of the Veuve Clicquot Vintage collection lies in the addition of wines aged
in large oak barrels, which bring strength and aromatic intensity. The predominance of Pinot Noir and a touch of wood bring structure and character, the hallmark of the
Veuve Clicquot style.

Tasting notes
'On the palate, the attack is fresh and frank. Gewürztraminer Passito DOP...
Vinification

The grapes are harvested in September and left to dry for 4 months in a well-ventilated room. In December, the dried grapes are selected again. Drying results in a 2/3
weight loss, as well as a concentration of sugar, aromas, acidity and tannins. Due to the high sugar content, the yeast cannot carry out the fermentation completely and
thus a natural residual sweetness remains. After a fermentation of 6 weeks, a longer bottle fermentation takes place.
Tasting

The 'Cashmere' Gewürztraminer Passito presents itself with a golden yellow colour with a light amber hue. Its bouquet is exquisite and intensely aromatic: dried apricots,
candied fruits, rose petals, a hint of orange and caramel. On the palate, the Passito is very concentrated, with a harmonious interplay between inviting sweetness and
refreshing acidity, elegant and of exquisite level.
Gewürztraminer Spätlese...
Pasithea Oro Gewürztraminer

Classification: South Tyrol DOC

Growing area: all the grapes used to produce this wine come from a single vineyard located near Lake Montiggl (Eppan). The particularity of this vineyard contributes to the development of botrytis, which produces a great dessert wine.

Vinification and ageing: the grapes are harvested by hand at the end of November and delivered in small containers. After a short maceration and gentle whole bunch pressing, the must is clarified from the lees by natural sedimentation. Fermentation takes place over a period of 6 months in small oak barrels and ageing for 15 months also takes place in small oak barrels.

Wine portrait: Aromas of dried fruit, ripe apricots and quinces form the aroma components, rounded off with a fresh breeze of citrus fruits. In the mouth, the wine is soft, full, with a pronounced sweetness, long-lasting in the finish. The Spätlese Pasithea Oro is drunk as a dessert wine with desserts, but it also goes perfectly with blue cheese, mature and spicy cheeses.
