It is the result of decades of living passion<br />for Lagrein and is probably one of the most authentic and successful interpretations of the autochthonous South Tyrolean grape variety. SOUTH TIROL DOC<br />LAGREIN RISERVA<br />VINEYARD KLOSTERANGER<br /><br />Our historic single vineyard: expressive, concentrated and straightforward.<br />IN THE VINEYARD<br />This Lagrein thrives at an altitude of 280 m in the middle of Gries. The historic vineyard is part of the monastery complex, where the vines stand on pure alluvial material<br />from the Talfer and a subsoil of Bolzano quartz porphyry. IN THE CELLAR<br />After fermentation and acid reduction in stainless steel, the wine is aged in new barrique barrels for 22 months, followed by harmonisation in enamelled steel tanks and<br />careful bottling after light filtration.<br />TASTING NOTES<br />The Klosteranger appears in deep garnet red and seduces with a bouquet of concentrated aromas. It is surprisingly lively and fruity on the nose with notes of coffee and<br />black berries as well as a hint of raspberries. On the palate, it convinces with grippy tannins, fresh acidity, delicate as well as elegant fullness and depth. Our single-<br />vineyard Lagrein is wonderfully complex, long-lasting and pampers the palate with a multi-layered structure. Best enjoyed well-tempered with braised game dishes, tenderly<br />roasted beef or spicy cheese dishes. Optimal drinking pleasure within 10 years.Alcohol: 14.00 % vol. Trento d.o.c. blanc de blancspas dosè<br />It is the unceasing work of numerous sparkling wine producers who strongly believe in the territory and in the quality of a unique wine: producing a Trentodoc sparkling<br />wine is a precious art, a vocation, a skill.<br /><br />The skilful hands of Marchesi Guerrieri Gonzaga have given life to a new expression of their savoir faire with Trentodoc sparkling wine, a tribute to the mountains of<br />Trentino where it originates.<br />Marchesi Guerrieri Gonzaga sparkling wine is a Blanc de Blancs Pas Dosè. It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes cultivated in the Pressano hills at an altitude of 400<br />metres, on marly-calcareous soils that produce structured wines, and in the upper Cembra valley at an altitude of between 400 and 700 metres on sandy soils of porphyry<br />origin, where more floral wines are produced, with a marked acidity and great freshness. The harvest is carried out exclusively by hand between the last ten days of August<br />and the first days of September. The grapes are immediately processed and fermentation is carried out exclusively in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. The wine<br />remains for at least 8 months on its yeasts, which give it complexity before being bottled. It then remains for a minimum of 36 months in refinement where the magic of the<br />wine comes to life. Finally, after disgorging, it rests a further 6 months in the silence of the cellars. The blend of these grapes from such different vineyards gives rise to an<br />extremely elegant and vertical sparkling wine with a strong identity, a tribute to the wonderful mountains of Trentino.<br />

Pinot Nero Ludwig 2021<br />Alto Adige DOC<br />The long history of the Pinot Nero in Alto Adige has accompanied the development of the wine region.<br />Elena Walch's Pinot Nero 'Ludwig' was created with the 2001 vintage, from grapes of old vines, some of<br />which were even planted as Pergola. The small production of 10,000 bottles indicates the strict selection of<br />the plots to produce a classic, complex Pinot Nero of the highest quality. The many national and<br />international awards for Pinot Nero 'Ludwig', including the highest award of the 12th and 19th Italian Pinot<br />Nero Competition in 2013 and 2020, confirm the winemaker's great commitment to this noble grape variety.<br />The Pinot Noir Ludwig presents itself with a full ruby red color and with elegant concentration and<br />complexity. Fresh fruit notes of heart cherries and redcurrants as well as the spicy hint of pepper and elegant<br />roasted notes characterize the bouquet. On the palate, the wine unfolds its full power and elegance with gripping<br />tannins, a filigree structure and harmonious interplay between subtle spice and elegant freshness - with inviting<br />length and great aging potential<br />VINTAGE 2021<br />We are excited about a qualitatively excellent vintage, especially for our white wines! A dry and<br />cool spring led to a late flowering of the vines and was followed by a warm and dry June. After<br />an irregular midsummer, a surprising change in the weather followed in mid-August, which<br />brought dream weather until the end of September and the very best conditions for achieving<br />an optimal maturity of the grapes. The harvest began in mid-September, about 10 days later<br />than last year. With blue skies and lots of sunshine, midsummer daytime temperatures and<br />autumnally cool nights, the grapes were able to achieve ideal sugar levels while maintaining very<br />good acidity. Accordingly, the 2021 wines show great quality!<br />VINIFICATION<br />Traditional fermentation, partially in large Slovenia<br />oak vats, partially in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic<br />fermentation follows and, the final wine matures in<br />French oak barrels for another 12 months. Since<br />2015, a state-of-the-art fermentation cellar has<br />allowed the grapes to be processed with the utmost<br />care, with whole-grape processing using via gravity<br />fed technology. A highly sensitive destemmer and the<br />gentle transport of the grapes by means of a<br />specialized container, cuvon, which runs on rails, prove to be very gentle on the grapes and<br />preserve their high quality. Already on April 10, on the sunny sites<br />around the monastery, we saw the first shoots. Thanks to mild spring weather, there were<br />no problems with frost. During the summer the conditions were good as well, with normal<br />temperatures and average rainfall. There were no extreme weather event and so harvest<br />started about 10 days early on September 14th. Unfortunately, the autumn was a little bit<br />rainy and therefore the diurnal temperature shift was less extreme than usual. In order to<br />get healthy grapes, the harvest dates were brought forward and so harvest was already<br />completed by mid-October.<br />The wines of the 2020 vintage are delicate, fresh and fruity with moderate alcohol and an<br />appealing acidity. Similar to the 2019 vintage.<br />
