<br />Talò Primitivo di Manduria D.O.P.<br />750 ml<br /><br />In San Marzano, the vine-growers take care of their small vineyard as you would a garden.<br />Their stories are many, as are the names of their families.<br />We have chosen one, Talò, to thank them ideally: family for family, story for story.<br /><br /><br />Grape variety: Primitivo.<br />Area: San Marzano, Salento, Apulia. About 100 metres above sea level.<br />Soil: Medium-textured, clayey, shallow and with a good presence of skeleton.<br />Cultivation: Espallier (5,000 vines per hectare).<br />Harvest: Second week of September.<br />Vinification: Thermo-controlled maceration for about 10 days followed by alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts.<br />Ageing: In French and American oak barriques for 6 months.<br />Organoleptic characteristics: Ruby red colour enriched by violet reflections; opulent bouquet reminiscent of ripe cherries and plums, with pleasant notes of cocoa and<br />vanilla. A wine which tastes of Manincor; truly unique. The essence of the hills around the wine estate and the lake, full of vigour and warmth.<br /><br />Grape varieties<br />Lagrein 48 %, Merlot 35 %, Cabernet 17 %<br /><br />Location &amp; soil<br />The Manincor estate and the Panholzerhof, both sites are south-east facing overlooking the Lake of Kaltern at an altitude of 250 m above sea level; soils are rich<br />comprising sand and clay mixed with limestone gravel and other morainal deposits. These vineyards are among the warmest in all South Tyrol, pre-destined for the<br />production of great red wines.<br /><br />Expansion<br />Grapes from each parcel of vineyard were crushed separately and fermented in a mixture of oak and cement vats and stainless steel tanks using yeasts occurring naturally<br />in the vineyard. Skin contact lasted ten days and was rigorously controlled, during which time the cap of skins was pushed down into the fermenting liquid daily as it rose to<br />the surface in order to extract velvety, assertive but ripe tannins. Fresh fruit and elegance are the main qualities we strive for in this wine. The young wine was transferred<br />into oak barrels of varying sizes where it matured for twelve months.<br /><br />Description &amp; drinking recommendation<br />Concentrated bright ruby. A rich, seductive berry fruit and spice nose leads to a remarkably succulent, well-structured palate of white and black pepper, dark chocolate,<br />liquorice and damson with silky-textured tannins. Almost Burgundian in its drinkability.<br />Enjoy at optimum maturity from 2023 to the end of 2028.<br />Serve: just below room temperature, 60 - 64 °F<br />Delicious to accompany well-seasoned Mediterranean first courses, peppered lamb steaks and other dishes of fried or grilled red meat.<br /><br />Our claim<br />Biodynamic<br />Vegan<br />

This blend obtained from Montepulciano<br />and Sangiovese grapes, cultivated in the restricted and most vocated area of the Rosso Piceno D.O.C. denomination, through ageing in wood enhances its natural qualities<br />to a clearly superior level.<br /><br />SENSORY ANALYSIS<br />A wine with an intense ruby red colour. The nose reveals a very broad aromatic complex in which notes of cherry and plum blend with those of sweet spices (cinnamon<br />and liquorice). The taste is full-bodied, rightly tannic and on the whole harmonious.<br /><br />VINE: 70% Montepulciano, 30% Sangiovese.<br />VINEYARD AGE: 20-25 years with south-east exposure and altitude 250-300 m<br />SOIL: Clayey and loamy.<br />TRAINING: Double Guyot and spurred cordon.<br />YIELD: 70 HL/ha<br />HARVEST: Manual harvest with selection of the bunches from the first to the<br />second decade of October.<br />VINIFICATION: Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel for 2<br />weeks.<br />AGING: In French oak barrels for 12-15 months.<br />

KOLBENHOF<br />VIGNA GEWÜRZTRAMINER<br /><br />The Kolbenhof Gewürztraminer shows an intense golden yellow colour with delicate greenish reflections in the glass. Aromas of ripe yellow fruits, especially peaches and<br />apricots, mingle with exotic scents of lychee, mango and passion fruit. On the palate, these fruity impressions continue, while the wine still has a fine acidity that never<br />makes it seem too lush despite its concentration. A Gewürztraminer that can convince with aromatic length.<br /><br />This Gewürztraminer is a selection from the best vineyards of our Kolbenhof estate in Söll / Tramin. Thanks to the special microclimate, the ideal orientation and the age of<br />its vines, the Kolbenhof estate is one of the great cru sites for South Tyrolean Gewürztraminer. This grape variety owes its name to its place of origin, Tramin.<br /><br />Only the classification 'Vigna' guarantees the origin of a site wine in South Tyrol.<br />GT KH<br />Hofstätter Classification<br /><br />Grape variety<br /><br />Gewürztraminer<br />Soil<br /><br />Loam and limestone gravel.<br />Vinification<br /><br />After delivery, the grapes are lightly crushed and the must is left in contact with the skins for a few hours to bring out the fruitiness of the wine. After a gentle pressing and<br />natural sedimentation of the lees, the must ferments at a controlled temperature.<br />Maturation<br /><br />After fermentation, the Kolbenhof Gewürztraminer matures for another 8 months on the fine lees. The fine yeast is stirred weekly (battonage).<br />Recommended food<br /><br />Aperitif, shellfish, Asian dishes and mild Gorgonzola cheese.<br />
