<br />South Tyrol DOC<br />Pinot Noir Riserva<br />Sanct Valentin<br /><br />Pinot Noir has been cultivated in South Tyrol since 1850 and is also known in many places as Pinot Noir. It is the winery's most important red wine. This grape variety is a<br />very special challenge for the winemaker, as it is very demanding in terms of soil and climate, and must also be processed with special care in the cellar. For the Pinot Noir<br />Sanct Valentin, which has been part of the prestige line since 1995, only grapes from the best vineyards and oldest vines are used. Extremely low yields and the greatest<br />care produce an elegant and highly sensual wine, characterised by structure, balance and fine tannins.<br /><br />Eye: ruby red<br />Nose: small red berries, strawberry, violet, smoky notes, cinnamon.<br />Taste: spicy, smooth, elegant and seductive<br />Variety description: Pinot noir<br />Growing site: older vineyards in St. Michael-Eppan and surroundings (400-550 m)<br />Exposure: south-southeast to south-southwest<br />Soils: moraine rubble and limestone gravel soils<br />Method of cultivation: Guyot <br />Vine age: 8 to 26 years<br />Harvest: mid-September; harvest and grape selection by hand.<br />Vinification: Cold maceration (three days) followed by fermentation and soft pressing. Fermentation in steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation and ageing in barriques. Praeclarus Brut<br />Blanc de Blancs South Tyrol DOC<br /><br /><br />Perfumed South Tyrolean joie de vivre. Elegance, freshness, harmony and complexity. Animating and seductive. Refreshing and lively.<br />Brilliant yellow with golden reflections. Intense and particularly fine, velvety bouquet of almond blossom, peach and apricot, with hints of fresh hazelnut and bread crust.<br />Very fine and long-lasting perlage.<br />Terroir:<br />The Chardonnay grapes are rooted in vineyards above St. Pauls between 300 and 500 m above sea level on the calcareous dolomite rock of the Mendel mountain range<br />with sand and clay deposits. The south-east exposure, the constant aeration by fall winds and the autumnal temperature differences between day and night ensure a unique<br />microclimate in which the grapes ripen well on the vine for an above-average length of time and thus develop an optimal acid-sugar ratio.<br />Vinification:<br />Ripe grapes, harvested by hand. Gentle whole bunch pressing. Maturation of the base wine in large wooden barrels for several months, followed by traditional bottle<br />fermentation and 40 months of maturation on the fine lees at a naturally constant temperature in the historic bunker.<br />Recommended with: Classic as an aperitif.<br />Alcohol: 12,5 % vol.<br />Ingredients: contains sulphites<br />

Millesimato<br />Altemasi Trentodoc<br />Grape varieties<br /><br />Chardonnay only.<br />Vineyard area<br /><br />Vineyards with a great sparkling wine vocation in Trentino (Valle dei Laghi and the hills of Trento), located between 450 and 600 metres above sea level.<br />Ageing on yeasts<br /><br />Over 24 months.<br />Characteristics<br /><br />Persistent mousse with very fine-grained perlage. Straw yellow colour with greenish highlights. Complex, very fine bouquet, with pleasant fruity notes of citrus and peach.<br />Dry, pleasantly fresh flavour with a good, balanced structure.<br />Pairings<br /><br />Excellent as an aperitif and with fried prawns or escalopes alla livornese.<br /> <br /><br /> <br />More Info<br /><br />The most known and traditional Altemasi label is the Millesimato, sparkling Traditional Method Blanc de Blancs, whose mark is the elegance obtained from the long<br />maturation on the yeasts (over 24 months). Elegance and finesse are linked to the fruity and mineral bouquet.<br />Tasting Notes<br /><br />Persistent foam with minute fine-grain perlage. Straw yellow colour, with very faint greenish tinges. Complex, highly refined nose, fruity, mineral,with light notes of bread<br />crust. Dry, pleasantly fresh on the palate, with a good, balanced structure.<br />Vineyard<br /><br />The vineyards in Trentino most ideally suited to producing sparkling wines (the hills around Trento, the Valle dei Laghi and the Brentonico Plateau).<br />Preservation<br /><br />Horizontal bottle in a cool and dark space.<br />
