<br />TYPOLOGY: Port<br />PRODUCTION AREA: Douro<br />RAW MATERIAL: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Amarela, Sousão, Tinta Roriz and others.<br />VINIFICATION: The grapes used to produce the LBV Port come from the vineyards of Cima Corgo, an area located above the Corgo River in the Douro region. The<br />grapes are pressed in the traditional tanks called lagares, followed by maturation of the Port in large old oak vats in the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.<br />COLOUR: intense ruby<br />BOUQUET: Intense aroma of wild fruits, spices, notes of dark chocolate, with a slight floral profile, making it a refined and very expressive Port wine<br />PAIRINGS: perfect with desserts in which chocolate predominates, especially dark chocolate. It also goes well with cheeses such as Cheddar and Brie. Ideal with red meat<br />(fillet with pepper) and game.<br />TASTE: fresh and seductive in the mouth, with good texture and body. Its rarity lies in the unique combination of grapes<br />from the classic terroir of Las Compuertas, in Luján de Cuyo, with the more recently discovered terroirs in the Valle de Uco: Gualtallary, Los Chacayes, Paraje Altamira<br />and Eugenio Bustos, all between 1,070 and 1,200 metres above sea level. The vines are between 20 and 90 years old.<br /><br />TASTING NOTES<br />A complex and layered expression, revealing aromas of red and black fruits, subtle hints of violets and delicate toasted notes. 2018 CHATEAU CROIX MOUTON 'BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR'<br />THE YEAR.<br />The M printed on the label of this fine-tasting and fleshy Bordeaux Supérieur wine marks the personality and particularities of each vintage and changes colour every year.<br />This cuvée from Château Croix Mouton, which dominates the Dordogne, is made exclusively from Merlot, the emblematic grape variety of the right bank of the Garonne,<br />and has a deep ruby red colour with beautiful shiny reflections. On the palate, small, acidic red fruits (mainly red plum, cherry) follow one another. On the palate it is full-<br />bodied and juicy, full of charming finesse. This wine is best appreciated when young, when its fruity bouquet shows all its vivacity.<br />THE CHÂTEAU CROIX MOUTON ESTATE<br />Château Croix Mouton is located in the town of Lugon on the right bank of the Bordeaux River and covers almost 70 hectares of vines. It is owned by the Janoueix family<br />and thrives on the clayey soil of Carney Island. The 2019 grape varieties focus on Merlot (96%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (2.5%), Malbec (1%) and Petit Verdot<br />(0.5%). The vines are on average 38 years old. The planting density is about 3,600 to 6,000 vines per hectare.<br />The work in the vineyard is meticulous and includes tillage, grassing, thinning and some leaf thinning. After sorting at harvest, vinification takes place in concrete and<br />stainless steel tanks with openings and regular puncturing. Fermentation takes place under temperature control (maximum 26-27 °C). The maturation period is between<br />three weeks and one month. Maturation lasts between three and four months on the fine lees in barrels (20%) and in vats with or without wood (80%).<br />The top Bordeaux produced by the estate are pleasant, fruity wines that tend to be drunk at a young age. Gourmet and fleshy wines that are also quite accessible.<br />

The<br />maturatThe story of Ampélia is about a meeting, a challenge and a conviction.<br />In 1996, three years before acquiring the lands of Ampélia, François Despagne inherited the<br />Grand Corbin-Despagne estate from his family, making it the seventh generation of his<br />family at the helm of this Saint-Emilion property.<br />François then eagerly sought a new challenge and created a new vineyard -this time, not in<br />Saint-Emilion, but in Castillon - Côtes de Bordeaux, the bordering appellation.ion period is between three weeks and one month. The grapes used to produce this finely aromatic Asti spumante come from Moscato bianco vineyards on soil rich in limestone. The continuous 'perlage' and persistent<br />foam are a prelude to the ample and intense perfume reminiscent of orange blossom and sage. The sweet and inviting flavour is tempered by a stimulating acidity. Ideal<br />with dessert, the wine of the party, as an aperitif and for any other occasion to remember.<br /><br />TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION:<br />Vineyard exposure: east-south to south-west, with rows oriented to take full advantage of the sun's action on leaves and bunches.<br />Soil composition: clayey-tufaceous soil rich in limestone, which enhances the finesse and aromaticity of the wines, very important for this grape variety.<br />Vine density: nr. 4000/5000 vines per hectare from 5 to 40 years.<br />Type of training: low plant with simple guyot, tending to bring the leafy part upwards, in order to expose the bunches to the sun's action and encourage photosynthesis on<br />the leaves. A maximum of 8/9 fruit buds are left.<br />Harvest: 1st or 2nd decade of September, picked by hand.<br /><br />ORGANOLEPTIC DATA SHEET:<br />Denomination: Asti DOCG<br />Grape variety: White Muscat<br />Colour: more or less deep straw yellow colour.<br />Perlage: fine and persistent.<br />Bouquet: rich and intense fragrant aroma of Muscat grapes mixed with the scent of yeast and floral notes.<br />Taste: delicately sweet flavour, in harmony with the right acidity, moderate alcohol content and enlivened by the development of the mousse.<br />Serving suggestions: Serve chilled, 6-8°C on dessert, with various pastries, as an aperitif, as a thirst quencher at any time of day, but especially on any festive occasion.<br />
