VARIETY:<br />NEBBIOLO 100%<br />VINEYARDS:<br />Our Barbaresco is the result of a careful selection of Nebbiolo grapes from vineyards owned by our family, located in different positions within the Barbaresco area: in<br />Treiso (Cascina Il Bricco, San Stefanetto and Bongiovanni) and in San Rocco Seno D'Elvio (Rocche di Massalupo).<br />VINIFICATION:<br />In steel. Maceration on the skins for about 30 days at fairly high temperatures.<br />AGING:<br />In French and Slavonian oak barrels for about 30 months and a small part in barriques.<br />NOTES:<br />A very classic style Barbaresco: elegance and finesse, ripe and spicy fruit, important but not overpowering tannins, good structure and concentration. Very long-lived.<br />Ours is not a basic Barbaresco, but has always been, and as tradition has it, the most faithful expression of the various great terroirs of the Barbaresco area.<br />

It comes from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes<br />grown on strong soils of ferrous clay, combined by an ancient geological chaos with sand of aeolian nature. A terroir that influences and shapes the variety in a<br />Mediterranean key, making the wine unique and seductive. After harvesting, the grapes ferment with long maceration on the skins, then the wine is placed to mature in<br />barriques for about 18 months. After bottling, it rests in the cellar for a further 12 months. A decisive ruby colour with violet streaks, it is enveloped by ample perfumes of<br />great intensity, defined by notes of morello cherry and blackcurrant, tobacco and spices. The sip, rhythmic and silky, has specific weight and structure that the good acidity<br />maintains in formidable balance. The finish is warm and seductive, with a very long persistence.<br />

The Wine<br /><br />For over five years, Cabreo has expressed the perfect harmony between tradition, innovation and suitability for the territory in which it is born: Greve in Chianti. This wine<br />is the result of a careful blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, which respectively give softness, strength and elegance, and of a long aging in small French<br />oak barrels.<br />Vintage: The 2020 vintage is purple red, crystalline and bright, on the nose it presents a synergistic sensorial profile between the descriptors of wood and those of<br />cabernet. Partially tamed by the softness of the merlot. In the mouth it expresses the young maturity of a great red, alternating pleasant tannic sensations with sweet vinous<br />sensations. Nose and mouth constantly evolving in the glass.
