ALGHERO CABERNET RISERVA DOC<br />MARCHESE DI VILLAMARINA<br /><br />Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon 100%.<br />Origin: Alghero<br />Average age of vines: 11 years<br />Vinification: Pre-fermentation maceration at 10°C for 24 hours;<br />fermentation at controlled temperature 18 months<br />Ageing: 50% in new French barriques, 50% in second passage barriques; followed by 12 months of refinement in the bottle<br />Malolactic fermentation: Yes<br />Alcohol content: 13.5 %.<br />Total acidity: 5.7 g/l<br /><br />One of the great Italian reds, a reference point among pure Cabernet Sauvignons and the pride of the Sella &amp; Mosca project. It comes from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes<br />grown on strong soils of ferrous clay, combined by an ancient geological chaos with sand of aeolian nature. A terroir that influences and shapes the variety in a<br />Mediterranean key, making the wine unique and seductive. After harvesting, the grapes ferment with long maceration on the skins, then the wine is placed to mature in<br />barriques for about 18 months. After bottling, it rests in the cellar for a further 12 months. A decisive ruby colour with violet streaks, it is enveloped by ample perfumes of<br />great intensity, defined by notes of morello cherry and blackcurrant, tobacco and spices. The sip, rhythmic and silky, has specific weight and structure that the good acidity<br />maintains in formidable balance. The finish is warm and seductive, with a very long persistence.<br />

The Wine<br /><br />For over five years, Cabreo has expressed the perfect harmony between tradition, innovation and suitability for the territory in which it is born: Greve in Chianti. This wine<br />is the result of a careful blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, which respectively give softness, strength and elegance, and of a long aging in small French<br />oak barrels.<br />Vintage: The 2020 vintage is purple red, crystalline and bright, on the nose it presents a synergistic sensorial profile between the descriptors of wood and those of<br />cabernet. Partially tamed by the softness of the merlot. In the mouth it expresses the young maturity of a great red, alternating pleasant tannic sensations with sweet vinous<br />sensations. Nose and mouth constantly evolving in the glass. I Frati<br />Lugana Doc<br /><br />The wine that has made the company's image known and continues to do so. It has a direct link with its variety, Turbiana, our indigenous vine. Conceived to be consumed<br />during the year, it expresses its best side many years after bottling. In its youth it is fresh, linear and endowed with great finesse and elegance with delicate notes of white<br />flowers and balsamic, hints of apricot and almond. Time allows it to evolve, expressing its mineral notes with greater determination. The wine acquires its own complexity<br />with hints of iodine, spices and candied fruit. In the mouth it is capable of enveloping the whole palate thanks to an important savoury essence accompanied by lively and<br />exuberant acidity. Epokale was the first Italian white wine to be awarded 100 points by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. This wine contradicts the classic idea of a South Tyrolean<br />Gewürztraminer, redefines boundaries and impressively shows what this great variety is capable of.<br />Mild temperatures in spring brought about an early start of vegetation. The summer months were decidedly sunny and dry. Cool nights ensured that the physiological<br />ripeness could nevertheless develop in a balanced way. Thanks to a cool September, the ripening process was delayed so that an excellent harvest with optimally ripened<br />grapes took place.
