The demanding Gewürztraminer prefers warm, airy sites with deep, loamy soils. These conditions are found in the Brenntal vineyard in the north-west of the village of<br />Kurtatsch.<br /><br />The Gewürztraminer gets its multifaceted aromas from the red clay soils: lychee, roses, mango, caramelised orange peel and lavender. On the palate, the wine presents a<br />creamy texture and elegant acidity that balances the muscular body. The wine reaches its complexity after a longer ageing period in the cellar and in the bottle, which is<br />why the wine is only sold as a Riserva 2 years after the harvest. Quercegobbe<br />Merlot 100%<br />A real cru from which the merlot grapes used to produce the wine come.<br /><br />Quercegobbe is in an ideal position, on the edge of the Mediterranean maquis but close to the winery, on a well-ventilated hill overlooking the sea.<br /><br />Very concentrated ruby colour. Wide and intriguing nose, at first in the fruity notes of blueberries, raspberries, sour cherries and plums, then in the Mediterranean<br />component of myrtle, rosemary and liquorice.<br />The body is dense, rich overall, soft, with smooth tannins. As vigorous as it is balanced, it is an impactful red that does not betray expectations.<br />Production methodPrecious threads from the past weave a modern weave.<br />The production method is rigorously aimed at defending the territorial connotation.<br /><br />It ferments in truncated conical oak vats and matures for 15 months, partly in new 600-litre demi-muids and partly in second-passage barriques. Description: Intense straw yellow colour, fresh fine aroma reminiscent of yellow roses and nutmeg, some cloves and cinnamon, strong body, spicy, with lively acidity.<br />Ageing potential: 6-8 years.<br />Recommended food: As an aperitif, ideal companion to grilled fish, shellfish, Asian dishes and blue cheese.<br />Serving temperature: 10-12° C.<br />Grape variety: Gewürztraminer, trellis training with high plant density, approx. 5,500 vines/ha.<br />Sites: Selected sites at 450-550 m above sea level. Gravelly, sandy, partly loamy, medium-heavy soils with limestone deposits.<br />Vinification: Short cold maceration of the destemmed grapes, gentle pressing, fermentation at 18° C in stainless steel tanks. After completing malolactic<br />fermentation,the wine matures in 25-hectolitre barrels of Slavonian oak.<br />Bottling normally takes place in August. The Barolo Ginestra Casa<br />Matèthen stays in the binning cellar for 8-10 months before release.<br />

According to an old tale, the goldfinch - the<br />'Cardellino' - builds its nest only in Chardonnay vines, while it does not nest in other grape varieties. To this faithful little bird Elena Walch has thus dedicated her debut, an<br />elegant and characterful Chardonnay, which has won many lovers with minerality, freshness, coupled with suppleness and excellent structure. The Chardonnay 'Cardellino'<br />has long become a classic of South Tyrol and continues to be the most popular wine at the table of the Walch family. A wine to which one remains faithful, just as the<br />Cardellino remains faithful to its Chardonnay.<br />The Chardonnay 'Cardellino' convinces with a strong, straw-yellow color, with a complex play of fruity aromas, citrus and orange peel, some lime blossom, mineral richness<br />and a spicy hint of tobacco. On the palate, this classic from Elena Walch surprises with exciting freshness and mineral race, with elegance and juicy length: inviting,<br />refreshing and easy to drink.<br /><br />COURSE OF THE VINTAGE 2022<br />An excellent vintage 2022 awaits you! Thanks to the warm, stable summer, grapes of the very best health and with balanced values have reached our cellar. The 2022<br />vintage began with a warm spring, which led to an early start of flowering. The following summer was consistently dry and warm, and hot in mid-summer. The drought did not<br />lead to any problems, not least thanks to our irrigation systems and meteostations in the vineyard. The warm summer months resulted in very healthy grapes of very good<br />quality and ripeness. The acidity levels were somewhat lower due to the vintage, but well balanced and were supported by targeted foliage work in the summer, as well as a<br />somewhat earlier harvest. The first grapes were harvested at the end of August - as always completely by hand. Overall, the wines are complex, with great structure and very<br />good fruit.<br /><br />VINIFICATION Gentle pressing, static clarification, fermentation at a controlled temperature of about 20°C, long contact with the yeast after fermentation. Part of the must<br />(about 15%) is fermented in French oak barrels where it matures for six months. BERNARDI Cuvee white<br />Wine appellation: 'Bernardi' Chardonnay-Sauvignon Vineyard Dolomites 2022<br />Grape variety: Chardonnay and Sauvignon<br />Origin/situation: from the hills above Tramin at about 400 - 450 m above sea level<br />Producer: Tramin Winery<br />Wine street, 144<br />39040 Tramin(BZ) Italy<br />Harvest date: September<br />Vinification: Immediate pressing of the grapes, fermentation and ageing in stainless steel (70%) and in small oak barrels (30%).<br />Serving temperature: 10 - 12 degrees C.<br />This wine comes from the best hillside vineyards in the Tramin growing area.<br />The combination of the two grape varieties elicits a delicately fruity and at the same time floral note from the wine. The bouquet is reminiscent of<br />nettle, apples, green peppers and tropical fruits.<br />With a harmonious balance of acidity and minerality, notes of elderberry, banana and vanilla enrich the lively character of this wine.<br />Thanks to its excellent quality, this wine has been included in the Bernardi collection. This is a selection of choice grapes from optimal vineyards.<br />
