Mason di Mason MANINCOR...

You don't drink this wine every day. It needs attention, time to mature and likes to play the leading role: as the crowning glory of a festive table or even as a proud solitaire.

Grape variety:
Pinot Noir
Site and soil: Mazzon, called 'Mason' by us to avoid confusion with the larger site above Neumarkt. Four hectares are planted with Pinot Nero in this unique site: a south-
facing high plateau at 400 - 450 m above sea level, sunny and constantly exposed to the wind. Ideal conditions for the tightly berried Pinot grapes. The soil is sandy loam
and interspersed with various stones: Dolomite, porphyry, gneiss and granite can be found from small grains to fist-sized stones. The highest parcel is planted with the
oldest vines, from which we select this 'Grand Cru from the Grand Cru' in top vintages.

Data:
Residual sugar: 0.9 g/l
Alcohol: 13,5 % Vol.
Acidity: biological acid reduction 6.0 g/L
The elegant Passito Comtess delights with intense fruit, a creamy-soft body, with a long finish and flatters the palate with racy-fresh acidity. The
youthful, fresh aromas become increasingly complex with proper bottle ageing and gradually fade into subtle honey notes.

Grape variety: Gewürztraminer
Vine age: 20 years
Growing region:
Site: vineyard at the foot of Valentin Castle (600m) and in Pinzon/.
Montan (330m)
Exposure: Southeast / Southwest
Soils: Calcareous gravel soils
Method of cultivation: Guyot
Harvest: Mid-December; harvest and grape selection by hand.
Vinification: The dried grapes are pressed and fermented and matured partly in steel tanks and partly in small wood.
Yield: 20 hl/ha
Analytical data:
Alcohol content: 10%.
Residual sugar: 260 gr/lt
Acidity: 7,35 gr/lt
Drinking temperature: 8-10° C

Recommended consumption:
This fruity dessert wine goes perfectly with blue cheese,
but also with fruity desserts like apple strudel, apple pie with vanilla
vanilla ice cream or 'Peach Melba'.
Cellaring/Potential:
10 years and more
