Already on April 10, on the sunny sites<br />around the monastery, we saw the first shoots. Thanks to mild spring weather, there were<br />no problems with frost. During the summer the conditions were good as well, with normal<br />temperatures and average rainfall. There were no extreme weather event and so harvest<br />started about 10 days early on September 14th. Unfortunately, the autumn was a little bit<br />rainy and therefore the diurnal temperature shift was less extreme than usual. In order to<br />get healthy grapes, the harvest dates were brought forward and so harvest was already<br />completed by mid-October.<br />The wines of the 2020 vintage are delicate, fresh and fruity with moderate alcohol and an<br />appealing acidity. Similar to the 2019 vintage.<br />

The deep, chalky alluvial soil and the heat-retaining<br />environment provide the red wine with what it needs for its intensive, unique characteristics. In addition, the field resembles an amphitheatre of nature, giving Huberfeld the<br />scenery it deserves!<br />WINE DESCRIPTION:Aromas of plum and blackcurrant, fine liquorice, slightly spicy. First born among the wines that make up the MOMA line dedicated to the world of art, the label bears the work Golden Glass by Milanese artist Beatrice Pani, first prize-<br />winner at the third edition of the Umberto Cesari Art Contest.<br /><br />Blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grown on medium-textured clay soils. The vineyards have an average age of 15 years and a yield of 80 quintals of<br />grapes per hectare. Fermented in vertical steel vats at controlled temperature for 12-14 days. Matured for 6 months in 30 HL Slavonian oak casks and a further 3 months in<br />bottle.<br /><br />Colour: light red with violet reflections.<br />Bouquet: intense plum, violet and red fruits.<br />Taste: pleasantly velvety on the palate, with the fruity hints typical of Sangiovese, the softness of Merlot and the 'balsamicity' of Cabernet Sauvignon. TYPE: Dry red wine<br />PRODUCTION AREA: Basso Sulcis in our farms of Narcao and Barrua<br />GRAPE VARIETIES: 85% indigenous, 15% French.<br />SOIL TYPE: Soils tend to be of medium texture, clay, sandy and calcareous.<br />VINIFICATION: the must ferments with the skins at a temperature between 25 and 30 degrees in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a period of about 15 days,<br />the entire mass is subjected to periodic pumping over to facilitate the passage into solution of the compounds present in the marc. This grape variety most likely originates from Germany and was introduced to South Tyrol around 1900; today it is mainly cultivated in the Eisack Valley. The Sylvaner grape<br />feels particularly at home in the not too high, airy and warm slopes of the central Valle Isarco. PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA DOP<br />Sessantanni<br />Typology: Red<br />Grape variety: Primitivo<br />Denomination: Primitivo di Manduria DOP<br />Cultivation: Trees at least sixty years old<br />Planting density: 5,000 vines per hectare<br />Production area: Valle del Sessantanni, about 40 hectares between San Marzano and Sava (TA). The thermal values characterise a rather warm environment with very low<br />annual rainfall and very high temperature variations, which has a positive effect on the quality of the grapes. This is the classic growing area for Primitivo di Manduria PDO.<br />Soil: Red residual soil with a fine texture, calcareous substrate and sparse rock outcrops. The famous red hue of these soils is due to the high content of iron oxides.<br />Harvest: Mid-September<br />Vinification: Hand-picking of slightly overripe grapes; destemming and maceration, maceration at 8°C for 24-48 hours before fermentation. Thermally controlled maceration<br />and alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts for about 10 days at 24-26°C. Final bottling with soft presses.<br />Maturation: Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by 12 months in French and American oak barriques.<br />Organoleptic characteristics: Very deep and elegant ruby red colour; rich and complex bouquet, fruity with notes of plums, cherry jam with a slight spiciness and hints of<br />tobacco. A wine of great body, soft and rich in noble tannins, with a finish that offers notes of cocoa, coffee and vanilla.<br />Pairings: Strong first courses, red meat and game.<br />Serve at: 18°C<br />
