VINE: Nebbiolo da Barolo. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 50% by volume. BOTTLE VOLUME: 70cl. AGING: passages in six types of small barrels of different woods. BOTTLES USED: barrel n.250 and n.1348. TASTING: the prolonged ageing process gives this selected grappa reserve a unique sensory mark. Its exceptionally rich colour heralds the aromatic power and softness that are later found during tasting. The barrique has exceptionally developed the spicy scents with very clear notes ranging from pepper to cloves, from nutmeg to brown tobacco, from anise to liquorice. These initial sensations are accompanied by and reveal further fruity aromas of jam, baked apple, prune, almond and walnut. Then another floral hint of honey, all in an extremely frank whole. BOTTLES PRODUCED: at keg no. 250 n.442 bottles and from keg no. 1348 n.464 bottles. PACKAGING: All bottles, rigorously numbered by hand, are presented in an elegant oak box, which gives the packaging a touch of sobriety.
