Based in Nogaro, in<br />the heart of Bas Armagnac, it distils only wines from this area, reputed for the refinement of its crus.<br /><br />CHARACTERISTICS<br />Between Gers and Landes, the continuous still is used at 58% vol. and the 'Charantais' system, recognised by the 1972 decree as being of superior quality thanks to the<br />elimination of impurities and the consequent obtainment of a more refined and elegant spirit.The minimum ageing period of 7-8 years takes place in new (30%) Guasconian<br />oak casks of 400 litres. SOIL: sandy-loamy. GRAPES: Ugni Blanc, Baco and Folle Blanche.<br />TASTING NOTES<br />The intense amber colour anticipates clean hints of coffee and dried flowers. The palate has good texture, body and length with candied fruit aftertaste.<br />

Durum wheat semolina pasta<br /><br />Pasta Tirrena was born in the best terroir for the cultivation of ancient grains, thanks to the symbiosis of cool soil, mild climate and breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea.<br />The mineral characteristics of the soil, combined with the knowledge of the Frescobaldi family, give this pasta a unique character.<br />The natural drying process of over 72 hours preserves the organoleptic qualities of the ancient grains. It is artisanal.<br />It is 100% Tuscan.<br /><br />Tirrena is a durum wheat semolina pasta. Semi-integral and not very refined, it is rich in fibre, polyphenols and vitamins. Grappa Stravecchia is emblematic of the culture, care and art of distilling. Obtained from the distillation in Bain-Marie in a discontinuous still of both red and white pomace. It<br />is matured in small barrels of Cherry, Ash, Oak and Robinia, each giving its own characteristics of perfume, aroma, colour and flavour. The ageing time follows the rhythms<br />of nature: 18 months pass from moon to moon.<br /><br />The perfume becomes intense, more ethereal and harmonious, the taste loses its initial sharpness and rounds off to give an elegant and silky mouthfeel. The colour reaches<br />a warm amber tone. The Master Distiller follows its maturation until it reaches the ideal blend and full harmony between wood and Grappa.
