<br />South Tyrol DOC<br />Pinot Blanc<br />Schulthauser<br /><br />Pinot Blanc has been cultivated in its second home, South Tyrol, since 1850 and has been one of the most important wines of our winery ever since. Schulthauser was first<br />bottled in 1982 and has since become one of South Tyrol's best-known Pinot Blancs. It is a harmonious, fresh wine with fruity notes that seduces the palate with its<br />creaminess and distinctive acidity.<br /><br />Eye: Straw yellow with green shimmer.<br />Nose: clear fruit nuances of apple, apricot and pear.<br />Palate: lively and balanced with a creamy fruitiness<br />Variety description: Pinot blanc<br />Growing region: Site: Vineyards in 'Schulthaus' above Schloss Moos in Eppan/Berg (540-620m)<br />Exposure: Southeast<br />Soils: Calcareous gravel soils with loam<br />Method of cultivation: Guyot and Pergel<br />Vine age: 10 to 40 years<br />Harvest: End of September, harvest and grape selection by hand.<br />Vinification: The majority (85%) is fermented in steel tanks, the rest in wooden barrels followed by biological acid reduction. In February, the two wines are blended.<br />Drinking temperature: 8-10°.<br />Storage/potential: 4 to 5 years<br />Recommended consumption: An exclusive aperitif and summer wine, but also a versatile food companion: it tastes good with seafood and fish, as well as with delicate<br />dishes of wild fowl. Our vineyards offer ideal conditions for a<br />Chardonnay Fallwind that stands out for its fullness, silky elegance and harmonious balance between acidity and softness. It is accompanied by a hint of ripe fruit. The best<br />prerequisites for enjoyable drinking experiences.<br /><br />Eye: Straw yellow with green reflections.<br />Nose: fruity scent of melon and ripe apples<br />Taste: velvety, buttery, soft<br /><br />Growing area:<br />Site: various vineyards in the municipality of Appiano (420-500m).<br />Exposure: southeast, southwest<br />Soils: calcareous gravel and moraine debris soils<br />Method of cultivation: Guyot<br /><br />The majority (75%) is fermented in steel tanks, the rest (25%) in wooden barrels followed by malolactic fermentation. Since 1985 it has represented our family's desire to produce a white wine with body,<br />complexity and longevity like the great red wines of our terroirs.<br />VINIFICATION AND AGING:<br />The Chardonnay is harvested in boxes, gently pressed and briefly decanted cold. It ferments and stays for 10 months on the lees in barriques made of only 1/3 new wood.<br />It then stays in the bottle.<br />NOTES:<br />Spicy, creamy, intense, persistent, ripe, still fresh, non-invasive wood. Long-lived. Produced in small quantities each year.<br />

Barolo Chinato<br />For about 21 days, small pieces of China Calissaia and China Succirubra bark are steeped in an infusion of alcohol and a very small amount of our classic Barolo. We<br />then add a mixture of aromatic spices including gentian root, rhubarb, cardamom seeds, sweet and bitter orange, cinnamon and others, which make up our historic<br />Family Recipe. To the aromatic extract thus obtained we finally add the right amount of our classic Barolo, a little sugar and alcohol and leave it to refine for at least 4<br />months in small stainless steel containers. After resting in the bottle for at least 2 months, our Barolo Chinato is ready to be enjoyed in the Piedmontese way, i.e. after<br />meals as a digestif.<br />

ALGHERO CABERNET RISERVA DOC<br />MARCHESE DI VILLAMARINA<br /><br />Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon 100%.<br />Origin: Alghero<br />Average age of vines: 11 years<br />Vinification: Pre-fermentation maceration at 10°C for 24 hours;<br />fermentation at controlled temperature 18 months<br />Ageing: 50% in new French barriques, 50% in second passage barriques; followed by 12 months of refinement in the bottle<br />Malolactic fermentation: Yes<br />Alcohol content: 13.5 %.<br />Total acidity: 5.7 g/l<br /><br />One of the great Italian reds, a reference point among pure Cabernet Sauvignons and the pride of the Sella &amp; Mosca project. It comes from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes<br />grown on strong soils of ferrous clay, combined by an ancient geological chaos with sand of aeolian nature. A terroir that influences and shapes the variety in a<br />Mediterranean key, making the wine unique and seductive. After harvesting, the grapes ferment with long maceration on the skins, then the wine is placed to mature in<br />barriques for about 18 months. After bottling, it rests in the cellar for a further 12 months. A decisive ruby colour with violet streaks, it is enveloped by ample perfumes of<br />great intensity, defined by notes of morello cherry and blackcurrant, tobacco and spices. The sip, rhythmic and silky, has specific weight and structure that the good acidity<br />maintains in formidable balance. The finish is warm and seductive, with a very long persistence.<br />
