Inspired by the Alps, the name Edelschwarz already combines carefully selected botanicals such as edelweiss and blackberry. A total of 17 organic alpine botanicals including juniper, cranberry, rosehip, elderberry, lemon balm and spruce needles combined with mountain spring water from the Gompm Alm give our Edelschwarz Gin its unique taste.<br /><br />ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND THE HIGHEST STANDARDS. First, the selected organic ingredients such as berries, herbs and spices are carefully macerated. After the subsequent elaborate distillation in small batches of 300l in the copper bubble and a two-month maturation in stainless steel, this full-bodied, balanced and delicately spicy London Dry Gin is created, which can also be enjoyed pure.<br /><br />EDELSCHWARZ. Distillery<br />Romano Levi<br /><br />Features<br /><br />Romano Levi always kept a young, fresh grappa for the railwaymen at the local Neive station. They needed it, he said, to work the cold nights in the Langhe. The warmth of<br />the grappa and its intense, pleasant perfume gave new strength and vigour...<br /><br />TYPOLOGY: aged white grappa.<br />ORIGIN AND STORAGE OF THE VINACCIA: The grapes come from producers of Roero Arneis Docg, to the left of the Tanaro river.<br /><br />The marc, chosen to be fresh and still dripping with must, is fermented according to an ancient recipe of Serafino Levi.<br /><br />ALAMBICCO: discontinuous copper still, the only one in the world, still working with direct fire for the distillation of grappa.<br /><br />SERVING SUGGESTIONS: suitable for the end of the meal, suitable for the preparation of cocktails.<br /><br />SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14°.<br /><br />Grape varieties:<br />Arneis Docg<br /><br />Vinification:<br />AGEING: in barriques of about 220 litres, in wood of different essences, kept in a room with the right humidity and at a constant temperature between 14 and 19 degrees C°.<br /><br />Tasting notes:<br /><br />Straw yellow in colour with golden reflections, the nose releases hints of ripe white fruits, pear, peach and pineapple.<br /><br />On the palate it is characterised by its fresh, soft and intense taste.<br />
