Riserva Speciale 1983 is an Alpestre specially selected for its qualities and exceptional ageing in our cellars in Carmagnola.
Each vintage offers distinctive characteristics of both smell and taste. During prolonged aging Alpestre reveals qualities of meditation elixir.
When tasted, it reveals complex and heady aromas of herbs and oak wood, evoking fantasies of ancient and mysterious herbal extracts with magical properties.
A pure distillate of 34 aromatic, digestive, tonic, refreshing and antiseptic herbs - including thyme, wormwood, lavender, angelica, fennel, brome, sage, mint, lemon balm,
isop, cedarine and chamomile.
Experienced herbalists cultivate the herbs in the fields close to the distillery until they reach the right maturity. The distillate has been prepared using a secret method since
1857, so that all the active ingredients are extracted from the plants completely and unaltered.
Alpestre Riserva Speciale 1983 has been aged for 10 years in Slavonian oak casks in our Carmagnola cellars and is finally bottled pure as it comes out of the cask, without
sugar, colouring or other additives. Each vintage offers distinctive characteristics in terms of both smell and taste. During prolonged ageing, Alpestre reveals its qualities as a
meditation elixir.
When tasted, it reveals complex and heady aromas of herbs and oak wood, evoking fantasies of ancient and mysterious herbal extracts with magical properties. It is a
precious, absolutely natural distillate that can be appreciated by tasting it in a glass that enhances its olfactory and aromatic qualities. In small doses, it can also infuse all
the beneficial virtues of fresh herbs distilled in purity.
Alpestre is an exceptional digestive. It can be enjoyed pure after a good meal, sometimes hot, and is a wonderful accompaniment to coffee. Moreover, for its relaxing
properties, we recommend to taste it diluted with hot water and honey, like a herbal tea, in the evening before going to bed.
For this rare Riserva 30 Year, we recommend serving it in a small grappa tasting glass.
