The most Franciacorta of the Franciacorta wines. Deliberately not bearing the year of production. Elegant, suave, pleasant. Citrus notes merge elegantly with pears and hazelnuts. Obtained only from Chardonnay grapes in order to obtain a more delicate effervescence compared to other types. It rests on yeasts for more than 30 months. An aperitif of great class, but at the same time a marvellous wine to serve with delicate dishes, especially fish-based.
TYPE OF SOIL: Partly of morainic origin, loose, drained and with an abundant skeletal texture.
TYPE OF GRAPES: 100% Chardonnay, from different vineyards.
YEAR: This is a Franciacorta “sans année” which therefore does not bear the year of harvest, because it is obtained from the skilful combination (assemblage) of the best wines from different years, amalgamated to obtain a wine of great complexity and balance.
HARVEST: Between the end of August and early September, when the grapes have reached the correct sugar ripeness, but still have considerable acidity and freshness.
AGEING: To be disciplined, a minimum of 36 months after the harvest, of which 30 on yeasts. After disgorgement, the bottles rest in the cellar for another 3-4 months.
