Golden in colour. An intense and concentrated aroma is released as soon as the wine is poured, reminiscent of exotic fruits such as mango, papaya with a hint of pineapple and lychee, all of which follows through on the palate. Rich and luscious, the concentration cut by vibrant acidity. The wine will develop further complexity after one or two years in bottle.
This is a wine of unusual contrasts – on the one hand full-bodied and concentrated while on the other, time and again tasters are surprised at its positive rusticity combined with elegance.
On the palate it is rich and dry, herbaceous, earthy and long due to its firm, tannic structure, characteristics which will enable this wine to mature magnificently in bottle for at least a year or two, continuing to evolve, mellow and develop complexity.
This wine’s defining characteristic is typicality. The colour is once again deep and concentrated, almost purple in the centre while the aroma is copy-book classic Cabernet reminiscent of black currant, lightly earthy, spicy with fine toasty new oak and vanilla.
