Since 2004, The Grande Réserve - Los Vascos is the first blended wine, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon. It is produced traditionally and aged in French oak barrels. It is characterized by its persistent and complex bouquet.
2006 was a late vintage in Chile in spite of an extremely hot summer but it was followed by cool temperatures during the harvest which permitted a good staggering during the picking for optimum maturity without an explosion of alcoholic degrees.
The colour is intense ruby with fine brilliance and orange nuances. The nose explodes with fruit: black cherry and blackcurrant (Cabernet), strawberry (Malbec), raspberry (Syrah), plum light mint and black pepper (Carmenère). The oak doesn’t overpower the fruit and contributes delicious aromas of tobacco, cinnamon, and crème brûlée (vanilla, caramel and chocolate). The rich and creamy taste is fresh and very intense, well structured and finishes with a fruit intensity of raspberries and cherries accompanied by a touch of liquorice and walnut skin. It is very dynamic and still very young. This juicy and luscious wine is currently superb. A wine deliciously Chilean!
Robust, harmonious wine with body and velvety fullness, dark garnet red, pleasant and markedly typical of the variety.
